Anybody receiving more random war-decs than usual? We're a wormhole corp, decent pvp activity, but fairly respectful, good fights all around, etc., not much gate camping.
Then we get war-decced by a 3 man corp, 4 days later, a 1 man corp. We haven't seen them anywhere near us the entire time; saw one of them outside a station and he immediately docked and logged.
Very peculiar behavior, curious if anybody has some insight. We did get 2 offers for "help" 100 million each, is it a scam run to try to scare smaller corps/alliances and grift them for some iskies?

actually war decs are WAY down. It not is a real isk commitment to declair war on another corp. PRVTR, Moar Tears and many others just dont do war decs any more. I know skunkworks was doing a 1 war at a time strategy there for a while but i dont know what he is doing now.
If you want to make them pay, just go out and get a lot of members and drive up the price. At about 1000 members you can make the bill about 500m isk a week.

Had a wardec few weeks back same thing.A 10 man or so corp decced us and it was a pain in the ass to even get a fight from them.Odd why they even decced us as the whole alliance is guys who hardly log in and if they do they just trade a bit so undocking is something rare for us , and lill ol me is in null so also no ifnluence when decced.They did have around 4 wars up at the same time all for small alliances/corps to wich they did none to little damage.
Ended up four times finding them and trying to get a fight going but all they did was run/cloak while outnubering me.Even had their freighter camped - lucky boys undocked it just when i warped off as they didn't even notice me in local and docked up again before i had warped back.We also had an offer for assintance for i think 50M and i accepted it.That guy did end up killing one of their ships so in the end aggressors 0 - victims 1 score.
Go figure the wardeccers camped in and the ones decced keeping the locator agents running just to get a fight. |

I think it has something to do with the offers for assistance; before we had even open ourselves for allies we got offers from 2 small corps for 100 million each for "help." If they have no intention of fighting us at all, if we accept 1 or both of the corps they make a decent profit on the war, and just end at the end of the week, and move on. |

So what if you wardec a corp and they surrender before the war even starts? Do you get your wardec fee back from Concord?
I have never wardeced anyone before so i would like to know.

Nope, but you have the option to reject the offered terms of surrender if you don't like them.
The bigger problem is that any corp that doesn't have a POS or other space based infrastructure can simply disband and reform with the same name, shedding the wardec easily.

I miss being war-deced by random high-sec allys, it made going to Jita fun, and there would be mutual targets to shoot.
I still grab a thrasher and shoot anything with poor standings, but get the GCC and have to rat for the rest of the evening.
How about having a small admin charge and a max number of war-decs per ally, depending on the aggressors size or length of time registered as an ally, corp in game?
There is a really good mechanic here, it just needs perfecting so corps and allys can clash.
Perhaps a war-dec could be that people can shoot, but not destroy, without the GCC, unless it is declared mutual for the week.
I would really enjoy flying about putting people into deep structure, maybe get some mutual good fights, it costs a small fortune in high-sec to repair big ships, or at least time sat outside a station with rep mods on.
I would probably sit at Jita putting hostile freighters deep into structure, just to make them have to dock and repair, or call in back up to chase me off.
