CCP want to include MT as part of the game, therefore its... not acceptable.
Riiiight...
Stealing, scamming and lying are already a part of the game and most of you find that very cool because it's a sandbox game. and MT will be a part of the game because need/want money for clean/build new sandbox
no need to debate during 10 days, let CCP do what they want with his product.

A place that is populated by adults who spy, scam, steal, backstab, produce misinformation & propaganda for fun. Being able to buy your way to power is not how it's done here, you have to work for it not put it on a credit card and then cry when we blow your stuff up."
This is something I don't understand about this whole shebang. Eve is populated with Thieves, Manipulators, and Killers, and they're afraid that someone's going to spend some money for a ship with a palette swap and a few bonuses? This is the game where people will start RL relationships for months just to find better ways to steal from and manipulate an ingame corp. Wouldn't stealing or destroying the ship someone actually dropped a couple hundred bucks of real money on be even better to them than doing the same to something that only cost them play time? Seriously. I'd think they'd jump on the chance to essentially burn someones cash right in front of their eyes with a pretend ship in a videogame.
Think of it this way... P2W has been in for a while, industrial corps are becoming more scarce... instead of a bazillion per system, let's just (for the sake of argument) say that there are only a few hundred spread across the four empires.
Lets say you and your corp of four other "businessmen" (aka PvPers/pirates) have a working "relationship" with a semi-local mfg crew to supply 20 fitted rifters in trade for a "mining pass" to your local lowsec base (let's say they come in every other week to mine). They're the only mfg crew in your constellation, and the nearest "good" market is 10 jumps out.
P2W (RL Rich) corp over there pays n PLEX and gets x fitted rifters... doesn't need any in-game "assistance" to get them (miner, mfg, etc). They want your lowsec home...
you and these guys pew, and over the course of a weekend, your corp loses 15 of your 20 ships. Your Mfg guys aren't scheduled to make another delivery for a week. You call on them anyway to step things up, and they can get things in 2 days (full mfg slots/need mins/whatever).
The other guys have losses as well... but can INSTANTLY replace them out of thin air via NEX. No need to input "generic rifter" to get "hotrod paint" or anything like that... just simply out of thin air.
This is the thing that most of the players are in arms over. As much as scamming, lying, cheating, etc are part of the game, there's still the understanding that it doesn't completely undermine the economy for everyone (unless it's a market manipulation attempt in Jita... but then just go to dod, rens, or amarr [;)]) =========================

I find it hard to understand the current opposition to the proposed MT changes. Most of the people who are shouting and screaming about micro transactions are quite happy to allow players to STEAL other people hard earned isk with faked contracts and LIES about their content. The way I see it, if one buys a ship via MT then at least ultimately they WORKED for it, be it in real life or in game. In my opinion, if you don't want MT, you have to remove stealing, scamming and all other forms of 'unfair' competition from the game.
The proposed changes are not fair, but neither is Eve in its current form.
The issue is we got so good at spotting scams that we didn't go far along the path they had drawn up for us. The other issue is, we actually did fall for it. Years in the making. So we're ****ed at the guy.

Contracts require reading comprehension from the player looking to accept them. Scamming does not always equal stealing if there's a 100%-effective way of protecting yourself (reading what you're signing.)
Also, behold the #7 and #1 spot on this list. This is a good thing. What would anything really mean in Eve if it could just be spawned from the ether? Certainly not PvP, PvE, industry, or grief (~99-100% of the game, in other words.)

CCP?
clean sandbox?
Not CCP?
You want to be purged in a few years?
Scamming in Jita is ok so being scammed by your service provider is ok?

Stuff in eve is spawned from the ether all the time. Go visit an asteroid field and see it for yourself.

But it requires work in-game to retrieve and refine into other items. Different game entirely than one where you can spawn items in your hangar for RM.

You're really not understanding this whole sandbox economy thing are you.
There is a reason why they had a professor of economics on the team and why it has not been uncommon for universities to look at the micro economics of the in-game eve market. Vanity items don't hugely break that environment but player advantage items do.
