Just wanted to share my two cents on related shenanigans.
I find it hard to understand the current opposition to the proposed MT changes. Most of the people who are shouting and screaming about micro transactions are quite happy to allow players to STEAL other people hard earned isk with faked contracts and LIES about their content. The way I see it, if one buys a ship via MT then at least ultimately they WORKED for it, be it in real life or in game. In my opinion, if you don't want MT, you have to remove stealing, scamming and all other forms of 'unfair' competition from the game.
The proposed changes are not fair, but neither is Eve in its current form.

Stealing is part of the game, if buying ships/modules/ammo etc. becomes a part of the game, it's not a game I want part of.
I'll speak slowly for you. If you MT a ship, nobody built it. Why manufacture items if nobody will buy them? Why haul items if nobody is going to manufacture with them? Why mine if nobody is going to buy the ore?
What will the game become, pay to PvP? Whoever spends the most overtime at work wins?

First of all, MT has the potential to break the EVE market with an unlimited supply of substitutes introducing a fixed price for items.
Second, the scamming/stealing bit of EVE was intended from day 1. MT was not intended and stated to be so just last year. TBVFH if you are scammed or have had stuff stolen from you then your risk management has gone wrong somewhere. No offense, but its your fault.

Hmm good point, perhaps they should have spent more time designing better corporate permissions rather than NeX.

If you're going to allow people access to your stuff, or if you're going to use the contracts system, here's a checklist for you to go by first.
[ ] Am I sober? - If not; log off and try again tomorrow. [ ] Have I checked the contents of the contract? - If not; make sure the advertised contents are present. [ ] Am I an idiot or suffer from serious mental incapacity? - If so; cancel your account and get off the forums.

Scamming in EVE relies on either one player's innovation/manipulation on game mechanics or another player's stupidity/inability to read...
If you're savvy, you'll never get scammed...
If you're a savvy manufacturer, you'll have no way to stop people buying ships fabricated from thin air if they include that into MTs...
Your argument is incorrect.

Game has its rules, the moment you change those rules it's another game, even if it looks the same. All card games, for example. But with all that, just because you worked all day, you can't use $500 instead of card you need to win if you got unlucky.

That is the point. Community believes that this is the case. To believe is enough in our world.
Ball is now on the other side, CCP has to make bold statement what they plan and what not.
Aside, why to get double charged with pay2win and subs at once?

The Eve Online game enviroment has always been this way. It's an aspect of the pvp within the universe. You must be fairly new. Sorry you came to such a FUBAR time in this games history.

This is something I don't understand about this whole shebang. Eve is populated with Thieves, Manipulators, and Killers, and they're afraid that someone's going to spend some money for a ship with a palette swap and a few bonuses? This is the game where people will start RL relationships for months just to find better ways to steal from and manipulate an ingame corp. Wouldn't stealing or destroying the ship someone actually dropped a couple hundred bucks of real money on be even better to them than doing the same to something that only cost them play time? Seriously. I'd think they'd jump on the chance to essentially burn someones cash right in front of their eyes with a pretend ship in a videogame.

Definitely trolling, but it's midnight, I'm bored and I'll bite.
The monocle is a fantastic idea, rich players can show they're rich. Stupid players can show they're stupid. Eve makes money from stupid players.
I have 7 accounts and I do NOT pay for them with PLEX. Thanks for playing though, you've been great.
MT for Vanity items is fine. MT for non-vanity items is not acceptable.

Are people really this daft?
Your first sentence involves in-game mechanics.
Your second sentence involves out-of-game mechanics if P2W MT is introduced.
It's not too difficult a concept to grasp. Why are people having such a hard time with this?
