Hey,
Just wondering how having multiple ships sensor damp a single target works. Is there a stacking penalty for every damp in fleet, or only a penalty for multiple damps equipped on 1 ship.
Example: 3 ships, each using 2 x T2 Remote Sensor Dampeners.

The stacking penalty applies to the effect on the target, not the source of the effect. So 3 Different ships each using 1 dampener on the same target would suffer stacking penalties. Same applies to target painters, remote sensor boosters, etc etc.

I would think that the same stacking penalty still applies as its really not so much a penalty as simple math, if you reduce someones targeting range by 60% for each damper you put on him, then each additional damper is removing 60% of a smaller range so that each additional damper has less effect. 1st module 60% of 100 = 60 leaving 40, 2nd module 60% of 40 = 24 leaving 16, 3rd module 60% of 16 is 9.6 leaving 6.4 etc.

That effect certainly applies, but there's also a stacking penalty at play. The calculation goes something like: 100%*(1-.4*1.0)(1-.4*.87)(1-.4*.57)
Notice the 40% penalty being successively decreased, in addition to the diminishing returns of the multiplicative effect. In case you're wondering, resists work the same way, just with the 100% figure diminished by the base resistance (so for a T1 shield thermal resist, you'd have a 80% figure there).
