I'll start at Rev II, but all the expansions before that are just as epic.
Revelations II *Thermodynamics! *Bombs *L5s *Sov, starbase and outpost changes *Amarr buff
Trinty *Whole new graphics engine, every ship, station remodelled!! (and it was optional!!) *20 new T2 ships!
Empyrean Age *Factional Warfare! *New Region
Quantum Rise (ok a bit meh) *Medals + Certs *lag fixes *Orca *AP changes
Apocrypha *T3 ships! *2500 New WH systems, amazing new mechanic *New AI - sleepers *Rig changes *Epic arcs
-This is where something happens- (or rather stuff stops happening)
Dominion (what expansion?) *sov changes *pirate epic arcs
Tyrannis (erm right...) *PI-lol (and the massive **** up of the market that came with it) *New scorpion model
Incursion (this one is sorta ok for the 'bears I guess) *incursions *learning skills removal (pretty good) *SCs broken *new char ceator *noctis
Incarna (trollface) *Maller remodelled *NEX store *a cupboard to walk around in before you turn it off becauase its pointless and melts your PC
Look at those last expansions and compare them to the pre-Apoc ones. Its a joke, especially when you consider they were still working on incarna back then as well! in parallel to everything else they were releasing.
Basically for most players your last 24 plex have bought you
New maller + scorp skin Learning skills removal Some sov changes SCs being excessively OP, particularly in low sec.
Bargain!
Can you see why some of us might be a little ****ed off? (ironically its probably the ones that have trivialised ISK and don't actually -pay- for this crap but still).

+1. My thoughts exactly. I'll bet after Apocrypha, development assets were siphoned off into Dust and WoD.

I really really liked the Incursions expansion, it was well handeled and well done. It also did not Break Supers that was done in Dominion the proliferation to the point it became an issue was just being noticed by most people in Incursions so pinning that to an expansion is unfair.
Incarna was sad though.

Suspect 95% of the expansion budget goes to the creative team inventing snazzy name for the expansion.
[EDIT] Don't talk and type.

I did admit this might have been alright for some, but considering most players will never go near an incursion all it really added was the noctis (which was for the same demographic and useless to many).
The removal of learning skills was very good, but considering for a very large percentage of the player base that was the only change noticed (except having some annoying channel appear every time I go through some systems) can it really warrant a whole 'expansion'?
FW aside most other expansions had something for everyone, or at least most, this for the majority offered very, very little.

You know what happens at that time in your timeline don't you, Dust 514 and that Vampire MMO, staff, money, and time, taken off EVE projects, and put onto these two new projects.

Ever since Apocrypha the team has been mostly hard at work designing the monocle. For $70 it had to be damn near perfect! I mean most games cost less than $70 and years of hard work of development go into those. The same could also be said about the monocle, the amount of detail on it is astonishing and gameplay next to none.
The work begins on the Left monocle now...

Like it or not, it took 5 years of dev work. So it's not something tiny.

OP just about sums it up really.
I remember being genuinely excited about Trinity and it's shiny new gfx's. Although I still miss the old CNR model, menacing black with orange blinkys was awesome.
The rest, bahh...so so!

I guess the simple answer to your question would be: "No. CCP do not plan on giving us any more meaningful content for quite some time."
The devs have come right out and said as much as the bulk of their developmental staff are currently fully invested in WoD and DUST. While, we here in Eve, are simply meant to play with what we have and be happy with less; all the while being the "golden goose (or geese in this case)" that provide them with the capital they need to release more titles for us to pay the MTs in and for.
Yeah. Think that about sums it up. *

Did no one else realise that this is release one of incarna.. and that in the more recent expansions features are spread out amongst the releases. Did you not realise that you didn't even get the title feature of Incurion until release 1.1?
A lot of features are still to come, most of them not yet, you can't judge an expansion by it's initial release. You have to judge it at the initial release of the next expansion.

Obvious troll is obvious.
How about the new turrets, agentfinder, new player experience, dogma, or the fact that they're rolling out smaller more frequent updates because everyone complained about big buggy updates.

No, however I can see one called "World Peace Solved" or "Solving The Economical Crisis" better chances to that happening that actually getting a fking pach for EVE Online but No I get SIMS Online new makeup, tats and other shi.t not SPACE SIMULATOR related.
I know there`s a gay community in EvE but it can`t be that large that CCP should risk their ONLY game making money at this time over it ... CAN IT ?

The OP is right, but...
...I guess Incarna is one of the biggest (though painfull / not very popular) steps in the development of the genre. The fact that the gamesindustry has changed rapidly in the last couple of years forces the developers to adapt of "die". The way CCP has chosen with Incarna was definetly the best from an economic point of view.
The genre of MMOs has developed into a certain direction over teh last couple of years. A major trend is the integration of a "social skill inventory" which describes forms of verbal and nonverbal (hello Monocle) communication. Nonverbal communication has proven to open you the door to a wider customerrange. Women between the age of 16 and 24 are even more attracted by some forms of nonverbal-communication which leads us to WOD.
Walking in stations will push this thing even further. On the positive Side it is an opportunity to crank up the atmosphere of Eve and build a "living" universe. Incarna is a crossroad with multiple options for this game. Developing things like that is veeery timeconsuming. So the best bet will be to sit and wait what the future of Eve might look like. The frame for promissing features (no, not more monocles^^)is set and it will be most exiting to see what CCP makes from it.
Sorry for typo I'm not a native.

they already said the next wave of T3's wouldn't be til 2013 at the earliest
so yeah, pretty much they have nothing planned for 2012 except making us beta test their WOD engine
