Seems the current move by CCP alts/fanbois is to make everyone think only cool people have the monocle.
And to make it cool by acting all edgy about having one. That only those with balls have will have one therefore its cool. Your not hardboiled without a monocle.
I cant be the only only one that has seen the rash of monocle threads started by monocle owners. CCP give you guys a free monocle to advertise and force the "its cool to have one" meme.
There are also the rationalizing away the costs threads too.
CCP spin control out in full force.
Edit: cant forget all these, "MTs not so bad" threads either. Seems this is the PR strategy until the CSM where they tell us they are doing MT no matter what.
Agreed, i think its highty suspect that these people are posting how cool it is to have a monocle, there either complete idiots or dont mind being milked as a cash cow by CCP!

Since Minmatar are the only ones to have Captains Quarters, yeah I have a one. You on the other hand are Gallente which means you don't.
