There should only be one truly elite monocle. And only one person should have one. That person, of course, is Chribba... who not only makes a pile of ISK on the basis of his love of veldspar, but also makes a pile of Euro (I think he's European) on the basis of his web portfolio, including his Eve sites. Even if they provide no direct income, they provide ample evidence of his abilities to prospective clients.
Also, The "Chribba Edition" monocle should include freedom to fly any titan into hisec, provided it is fitted with mining lasers.

I agree they should make an "Elite Monacle" but the stipulation would be it has to be paid in all CASH $$$ no ISK or PLEX...since CCP is so broke now pure cash transaction would help the company out...i would say around the price of $500 would be good....this will distinguish the "wannabe" elite to the ones truly dedicated to the game nuff said k thanks

Sad? that is not sad. If CCP earned a dollar for every troll-post on their forum they would probably be the wealthiest company on this planet. Paying for trolling is a marvelous concept
