Nothing made me "lose faith" in CCP. I don't "have faith" in game developers to begin with. They're a business, not a religion.
For now, they provide a good game, and that's why I'm here.
When they'll stop doing so (which isn't happening for the foreseeable future) I'll quit without raging on forums like a whiny kid that can't let go and move on.

But, now days, unlike when I first started, I love Eve IN SPITE of CCP, not BECAUSE of CCP.
The worse part is when "love" has turned abusive from one direction or another. Then it is more like an addiction than something that can be beautiful. And, as with all addictions, you have to eventually cut it off, or admit that you are its slave forever, until it kills you.
That is pretty much where I am at with Eve and CCP.
Nice post though. I think the only things you really left out were: Stressing just how much contempt CCP has shown towards their paying customers in the last few years, AND just how much they have come to think it is ok to bold-faced lie to us, REPEATEDLY, and expect us to just be ok with it.

i run a corp and its the players in that corp that keep be subbing and playing.i struggle to find any other reasons anymore. used to love eve and ccp with a passion, now that ccp are the enemy seamingly hell bent on eve's distruction that love has gone.

be careful, people might attack your character for stating what is a reasonable and understandable case. The vitriolic denial is so strong in some that they would attack a person's credibility before considering anything close to the fact of the way this game is going. Instead of thinking about it they'd rather sling mud and be hypocritical, but I guess that's typical of idiots who can't build an informed opinion based on experience. Rather than be objective they will attack you accusing you of attacking those that like the game- straight denial.
Like I said in another thread, there are those that understand what's happening directly or indirectly to the game and those who try to understand, get halfway, then get mad at anyone for challenging what they *want so badly* to see as positive changes, making eve into something it isn't, wasn't, and shouldn't be. Totally agree with the OP, and good luck wading through the verbal diarrhea coming from guys like the one above you, when they can't think of anything to say but angry and typical rhetoric. There will come a day when the only ones left playing are the clueless and those in denial, and bots, or those content with a game that's more like candy-land than the original game. A contentment zone of risk averse self proclaimed geniuses sucking their thumbs sitting in a station somewhere telling pvpers how the game should be.

As I've said all a long, I could care less about the Vanity crap. People want to waste their money on it, it's not my problem.
But I do object to them spending more time and effort on half-assed updates and vanity items, as well as other games and seemingly not addressing any of the bugs that have been in the system for years.
Clearly from the latest reports in 0.0, lag is just as bad as ever, how long have they been working on this?
I don't think they will ever get the game playable in large fleet fights, fleets will simply grow to fit any new fix they put in. So no resolution there.
The latest half-assed update has my FPS cut in half when I dock, I can't wait to see what the lagfest will be like when they open up the stations.
Final straw was the attitude displayed by CCP management. We are numbers to them, numbers and income.
Certainly this is no different that most of the Corporate culture these days, but I guess I'm simply not willing to tolerate it anymore. When I get bad service, I call it like it is, if I don't get what I pay for, I go elsewhere.
I no longer believe that CCP is investing in EVE, they are simply maintaining it, and adding sloppy incremental upgrades, hoping they don't lose too many people while they work on the next big thing.

I roll my eyes when someone causes that with extremely silly statements that fly in the
face of logic like yours.

It's a pretty simple concept. If you don't like EVE, there's a wide offering of MMORPGs you can play out there.

I'd call them orderly. I'm not surprised that you don't see any hypocrisy between warning someone that he could be attacked for stating his opinion (that happens to fit yours), and threatening someone else of the same for stating his own (that happens to be opposite to yours). That'd be because you're a hypocrite.
