Im quite old player ( 70m sp ), but sor some reason i never look at T3 ships. They are nice and all, but imho there are better choise for PVE and much cheaper good ships for pvp. Hovever after long time i decided to gave them a try so im starting to look the best option for a T3 ship good for solo/ small gang roaming in low sec. I have all 4 cruiser race to 5 and almost maxed blaster, autocannon, missile skills so im at the point to decide what t3 ship start to train ( and later buy). I have efted a bit but im quite boon with subsistems and cant really decide the best. Ideally i would like a ship that can bite AND warp cloaked or fit an expanded probe launcher ( asking bot probably its too much). For some reason i would prefer not the tengu, probably just because everybody use them. Im more looking to proteus or loki, but dunno what are the most viable fits. Could somebody give me some andvice and setup to start play with?

Lugalzagezi666	Posted - 2011.07.01 11:31:00 - [3] Cloaky proteus can have around 500 dps, 200k ehp and still be able to probe - but you will lose point range bonus /same with loki and bonused webs, but makes perfect sense imo/. Pure dps fit with cloaky sub, without prober, drones and web can do 600/700dps and have 200/250k ehp. Not bad id say.
Gibbo3771	Posted - 2011.07.01 11:50:00 - [4] If you can use heavy missiles with amazing skills, the rest of the t3's arent worth a fuk compared to a tengu. It isent the best cloaky t3 but better at everything else, can hit way past its locking range,does 650-700dps, can fit a good buffer or active tank and can chew down frigs fast when you splash out on a fed navy web. If you want a loki however thats best for vaga kiting like solo pvp as you can dispatch tacklers quicker than a tenu, other than tht its crap.

In lowsec you should be able to live with ab + scram + web if you get good warp in with probes. In theory. Dont forget that with proteus you are sitting deep inside scram/web/neut range, so if you bite the bait... I think loki can be pretty good too considering it can change its damage type, but it lacks drones and that can hurt you little bit. Active fits are possible, but significantly more expensive and more vulnerable to neuts.

I mean we kill them every time, and yet they keep jumping on that tengu like it's made of honey. Plus you gotta be reasonable - a ship that does 900 with MWD on is not really a good pvp choice is it? Screw the proteus - I haven't pulled mine out of the hangar for the last 2 years. All the small gangs I fly with are shield. If I decide to take a t3 on a roam it will be shield, it will be loki or tengu - I'm not dying the hell slowly in a fat ass brick. As for solo PvP forget it - every miner is a tarp, every mission runner a bait.
