morning forums.
I fly Caldari ships,all my missle skills are about lvl 3 missles launcher operation is lvl 5 however yesterday I did a mission called RECON, in the 1st room I was able to kill the frig's and battlecruisers but could not tank the cruisers (dire pith nullifier)ect,ect, no matter how much or how long I hit it, as well the 4 cruisers left could not break my tank either, turned into a stale mate, what DPS mods could I used to help? drones are hammerhead I. THANK YOU. |

Low slow, Ballistic control units.
Increase rate of fire and damage.
Also what missiles are you using?

Flying an SNI.
Level 3 missile skills.
T1 drones.
Can't outdps an elite cruiser rat's tank.
Doesn't know what missile damage mods are.

Welcome to the world of Plex where isk is not a problem as long as you have loads of real life cash, still think of the juicy nubcakes in super expensive ships and fits.  not that ive ever done that kinda thing oddly ive always stuck to a decent moral code in eve lol

If you're having trouble with Recon 1 -- just go to the next gate. That completes the mission and boom you're done.
Then you can try to figure out what went so horribly wrong in not being able to damage elite cruisers with cruise missiles at a more leisurely pace. But I'll venture to guess it has to do with firing BS-sized missiles at cruisers without support skills, rigor rigs, or target painters to help them apply damage.

Hence why all the isk in the world wont help unless u also have decent sp. Ill try and be constructive, you really need to get missiles support skills to lvl4 and your drone skills up. And train for a few rigs, id suggest reading up on anything you wanna do in eve always a good skill to have, can save you alot of isk and if you do buy plex then it will save you money to.

I was just going to tell him go fly a Drake, but someone actually gave him advice. 
Skills > Expensive Faction/Complex ships and modules, there is no substitute
