anyone else actualy like the addition of it, sure is has a few kinks to work out but so does every ccp expansion. i love the captains quarters the tv screen especialy very good, and the corp and agent finder things are bloody brilliant.
the mt store in my opinion is a good idea but they should of started of with cheap items, a plex should of been able to buy multiple items with the release of expensive elite items coming later on.
and lastly finaly being able to see my character walking around is great, sure i spend 90% of the time in ships but seeing them as an actual character instead of just a passport photo is very benaficial for me.
incarna has alot of potential and i hope its not left to rott for ages like the other expansions.
also on a final note very sorry for the extremley bad punctuation and stuff i dont really write things that much.

I do too, for the most part. Eve has always been a work in progress and will always will be (like any active software development), so sometimes stuff will break, or get delayed etc. I didn't have to pay anything extra for the expansion, either...so that makes me happy at least.

also the new guns where a welcome addition, seems to me that all the drama was mostly out of paranoia

They should progress much faster though.

The CQ is just the starting point - not much 'oomph' there and the interesting stuff will only come in the future. I think so far the new Carbon character generator has been much more a boon for us and has really helped to bring my character to life. --

i like it too. Although i do think that such a low performance and frame rate worries me for future implementation of WIS.
I will not purchase new hardware for an expansion I actually didn't asked for.

From the perspective of someone who has worked in software development, I can tell you it is a tedious, time consuming, and mind numbing experience. One change seems to always break 10 other things on the first alpha builds, and sifting through millions of lines of code to identify the culprit is not an easy task at all. I personally did not expect much new content in Incarna because switching to a new engine for any piece of software is a major undertaking in and of itself. Porting is hell x10.

thank you. something a lot of people don't realize is how much they overhauled in the game just to get incarna to work. and now that they have CQ working, it's basically just a case of drawing up the new rooms, station environments and the such. that altogether may take about as long as what they spent to get CQ out in the first place. not that long for the second CQ.

I love the technology, I hate the MTs. I also hate that it is forced to use.

I want a bar and I want high stakes Poker.
The ability to bet ships/items and ISK.
Incarna has the potential to turn EVE into complete gaming experience. People should be begging CCP to get it out.
You can only sit in a ship so long before you need a break. If I can take a break in the same game, then flat out that is the ticket.

It is NOT an expansion. ITS A ROOM! Silent Hill: THE ROOM man! That is the new definition of expansion. Then again Activision sells you 5 old maps for 15 dolars, so hey.. everything goes. The DLC crap model is the new black, microtransactions are the way to go, cause the number of dumb people is always higher eh? It is a morally bankrupt concept that will keep going as long as there are enough stupid ppl with cash buying stupid stuff.
Several years ago there was talk that maybe alliance logos could be seen on the ships. How much is that gonna cost us CCP? Cause sure its not game braking if some1 has it and some1 doenst. But it sure would have been nice to have it 4 years ago, cause it is SOOO HARD TO IMPLEMENT. Wait.. its in WOW.. a game that is 10 years ahead of EVE in the interface and in the player trinkets department. U might wanna look in there.
Wait till blizzard hears about that.. Incarna.. an expansion

There was a game called Earth & Beyond. It was cancaled in 2004. Anyway inside of the one would had tio dock into station to do most of things. Example, get mission, do research, meet with other players as well. It was a good part of the game. Also note there was no lag there. If CCP could do what they did that would be ok. However, let me just said once again there was no lag.

Games have expansions with higher hardware requirements. EVERY game does this after time. Get over it.
CQ is hardly taxing on an even remotely decent system. If you aren't willing to put three or four-hundred dollars into your system to bring it to a decent level of performance, then you have no room to talk.
With the amount of graphical quality and beauty in CQ, the optimization is actually quite impressive to me. I've seen MANY more systems in games that look hideous compared to CQ, and yet are optimized much more horribly. ----------

Yes, it has THE POTENTIAL. But when u work 2 + years on smth and you release A SINGLE ROOM, well.. i cant imagine how their FPS game will turn out
You obviously have never participated in game design. The innovative things CCP are doing requires a MASSIVE amount of work, testing and vision. Being a game designer, myself, I'm extremely impressed with the things CCP are doing. Also, I'm very glad that they are releasing their expansion in iterations. Rather than having to wait a God-awful 3 years for an expansion (like in WoW), every 6 months I get a new themed time period in EVE, where an expansion is released over many implementations and iterations.
Put simply, QQ more. ----------

I wouldnt mind it so much if WiS were like #18 on the list of things being added in an EXPANSION. And purely optional, with the old Hangar untouched.
Forcing WiS down our throats, while also removing one of the best parts of EVE.... is just hubris meets indignation.
So if INCARNA added new Ships, modules, items. And new features. New things to do. New Gameplay. And then also had WiS.... i don't think people would have been so upset. It would need to be an Optional thing. Spinning station should never have been touched.
Its really starting to feel like the Leadership at CCP either 'wants to run EVE into the ground' or simply has Zero respect for its own customer base.

The problem here is that Incarna is, and nearly always has been WiS. If the expansion was supposed to be all those other things, it should have been a different expansion. We all knew this was coming, and I for one am ecstatic. Enjoy it! ----------

Agreed. We all know it's far from perfect yet but I have an inkling how much work it must've been to get this all running. Add some more functionality, expand it a bit and it'll get really good.
That said, I'd also like to see WiS made optional, if not now due to promotion of the NeX then maybe a little later on once the store is well-established. I just think it'd be a cool move from the lore side of things, having a small group of capsuleers so hard-core about their existence as "part of the ship" that they really never leave the capsule, zipping from station to station, with all kinds of rumors about what a life they lead in those shells.
Good stuff, I think.

Definitely! People ask for new content added to the game. WiS adds an ENORMOUS new dimension to the game, and a portal for a great amount of new content. I, for one, have been waiting to start up my own bar for years and years. I can't wait for the day when that will be possible. Not everyone looks at EVE in two dimensions. It only makes sense that the thousands of stations in New Eden are more than just docking bays. ----------
