What if ccp made some type of in game Ransom button, you could do on another ship. All the ransoms will be recorded and if their ship didnt get blown up, it would automatically say ransom honored for that entry.
Also it will have some detail info if wanted, like ship type, player, amount paid. The function will automatically say ransom honored after all the aggression timer is gone, and if a ship that did not get ransomed gets blown up it will not count towards the ransom history.
This will give some of our prey some history of who they pay and if they pay, so ppl who do not honor ransoms will be shown in game for previous attempts.
I am sure all the people who do not honor ransoms will not like this, but the people who do, will love it.

What if... you put some thought into your idea and how it would work.
tell me what happens when a 3rd party comes in and blows up the ship that paid the ransom???? does this affect the ransomers status. I mean he honored the ransom, not his fault of someone else arrived and blew up the guy who paid.
OH WAIT... what if the ransomer and the 3rd party were Frends... DUN DUN DUUUUUUH!

I always honor ransoms and think this is a bad idea!
1. EVE is a harsh place, get used to it!
2. This would ruin scamming. (Even tho I honor ransoms I have great fun trying to convince my victim I will let him go. Also you wont be able to stall for time with "How can I trust you?" when they can just tell you to check their records.)
3. This is a job for a 3rd party app.
Ask someone to make a webpage where you can submit all thos badies that killed you...
