officially they will say we can't do it (at least for now), cause it's against the EULA... chance they will allow it later however. it would be extreamaly easy to make it so you don't need to modify files (just need to change the thing who choose the video, and switch code from one choosing XY video only to one allowing any video on the Z folder, dunno where it is done, but any dev could do it in a few minutes - hours at most)
ps : don't post here how to do what the op have done, mods would get angry. while no indication is given (and that no spam is putted here) there's pretty low chance that this topic will be closed

Good money on CCP considering this an illegal client mod, but if so:
CCP please give us an official way to do this. I would actually load CQ if I could do this. Make my space TV useful!

Editing the content is still modification of the client. It would be nice if ccp gave us an "off" switch for the video or showed more. But people are gonna exploit this and put po-rn on it and god knows what else... |

There is obviously tons of interest. CCP should just let us modify the video like they let us modify the jukebox. However, this jury-rigged method violates the EULA and will probably get you in trouble.

This is something that could go further! But just how far and will CCP allow it. streaming new channels, TV-channels for AUR, Movies for AUR.
If CQ loads his movies from Harddisk though, how does that effect that the future of the CQ if there are several people online. Surely eventually these movies will be serverbased?

also maybe for players that enable it, have combat footage is on the screens. have it so that the footage is displayed a day later and picks a random ship destruction and plays video from 15-30 seconds before the ship is destroyed and ends right at ship destruction.
then display an add for the ship type of the victor.
let players pay for a spot on the tv.... i might actually be fine with the tv spot costing real money. being as somebody would have to approve it to keep the gay **** out. that way people could make vids of themselves orgasming to their monocles and then show it off to everyone on eve tv |

So what? It's singleplayer anyway... If you wanted too you could have the soundtrack of such movies in the jukebox.

Great ideas tbh, tv channels for corps. Hell why not broadcast fanfest from CQ-tv
