I have been a gamer for 15 years. One of the thing that has always annoyed me was customer service in online games or lack thereof.
I tried eve off and on and when i got really into it i had 3 accounts. multiple emails etc. I wanted to come back and on a specific character. I couldn't remember anything.
I filled out a couple tickets to no avail with some pretty terrible responses. Just when i was ready to give up Raccoon sent me an email.
Not only did he help, he was personable and replies immediately till my problem was resolved. It really is a great feeling when you get customer support that is friendly and helpful. Don't know if you read this but pass on a thank you to Raccoon for helping me get back into eve.

Don't be so surprised about the delay. CCP has always been swamped by petitions regarding bugs and other complaints.

Believe it or not there are a few GMs that actually care about providing a service. I can't stand getting that stupid generic "Our records/logs show nothing" message though.
Props to Raccoon by the sounds of it, we could use a few more GMs like him.. and a few less of some of the others imo.

While petitioning for lost isk/ships generally the "logs show nothing", but as far as getting to play the game, I have had nothing but but success with the petitions I have filed. . Adapt and overcome or become a monkey on an evolution poster.

OP seems to have relatively credible posting history, unless ofc he's a char that ccp reactivated just to props themselves (initiate tinfoil hat subroutine alpha)
What I do find interesting is that navigator replied to this thread in eleven minutes. Yet threads where people are unhappy get ignored for hours/days?
So the basic message is "your not happy? NYAH NYAH!"
This is one of those moments where we look less at what they say and more what they do.....

I would imagine that CCP Raccoon is new. He'll catch on soon. Sorry that he provided you such an unusual and unexpected level of service. You must remember this about CCP:
"Hard work is not something that will set you apart, most people work hard until they become so disillusioned as they realise it makes no difference and slack off."
In time (assuming EVE is still around in a year) you'll find that CCP is good at making trailers. (More specifically, compelling trailers that don't reflect actual gameplay.) That's about it.

CCP has always been extremely helpful with my petitions as well. They may not be very good at patches/expansions, but they have great customer support.

In the spirit of credit where credit is due, I had a decent experience with Senior GM Lelouch recently as well.
The petition queue is long and takes time to resolve, but so far its been a decent experience with 2 out of 3 petitions in my Eve lifetime going in my favor. (And the third was in PvP, so I was boned there to start with)
But you programmers and game designers - quit breaking things dammit! ___________________________________

Man you guys are BRUTAL.
I had 3 accounts years ago and just couldn't remember them. One of them was this account which was my most progressed character but i couldnt remember jack even the email.
Most games have very long waits and terrible customer service. THe reason this stuck out for me is that after my original petition wasnt answered CCP actually offered me a feedback on the level of service. I never expected them to read it and low and behold racoon came to help. It really just stuck out in my mind and it is nice to be flying around lost in space again.

Navigator, you should also take note that before the OP had success with GM Raccoon, he had problems with other GMs who were unable, or unwilling. to resolve his issue.

Id like to add that the GM that dealt with my complaint was super - really helpful and a pleasure to talk to. Yes I got my Ship back. GM Rust rocks!
