Edited by: S'Daria on 24/02/2005 18:30:13 Edited by: S'Daria on 24/02/2005 09:10:53 From my experience, no matter which Division, you can expect about 1% of your missions to be something other than listed (i.e. getting a Trade mission for your 95% Kill/5% Courier agent).
Remember these percentages are averages...your mileage may vary.
Administration: 50% Kill, 50% Courier Advisory: 34% Kill, 66% Courier Archives: 5% Kill, 90% Courier, 5% Trade Astrosurveying: 40% Kill, 30% Courier, 25% Mining, 5% Trade Command: 95% Kill, 7% Courier, 3% Other Distribution: 5% Kill, 95% Courier Intelligence: 85% Kill, 15% Courier Internal Security: 95% Kill, 5% Courier Legal: 50% Kill, 50% Courier Manufacturing: 5% Kill, 95% Courier Marketing: 5% Kill, 95% Courier Mining: 5% Kill, 85% Courier, 10% Mining (II) Production: 5% Kill, 95% Courier Public Relations: 34% Kill, 66% Courier R&D *: 0% Kill, 50% Courier(S), 50% Trade Security: 90% Kill, 5% Courier, 5% Trade Storage: 5% Kill, 95% Courier(L) Surveillance: 95% Kill, 5% Courier ------------------------------------------------ Kill: Kill one or more NPCs Courier: Move or Deliver cargo (usually less than 2k m3) Courier(L): Move or Deliver large cargo (upto 20k m3) Courier(S): Move or Deliver cargo (requires specialized science skills) Trade: Purchace items on the market and then deliver Mining: Retrieve ore/minerals (II): Got information from a Level II agent
* NOTE: Last server side patch said that they were adding kill missions to R&D...can anyone confirm? ================================================
Still need the following:
Accounting Financial Personnel R&D (need update)
or any corrections to any of the data above (especially with level 4 agents). If the percentages are off by more than 10% then we'll need to update the information.
NOTE: This is an OLD post I recovered from doing agent level III missions several months ago. I've resurrected this thread in hope to get updated data for the new level IV missions.

According to a dev command = 50/50 instead of 97% kill. That level 2 quality 19 command agent in isto was giving WAY too many courier missions for it to be 97% kill.

I've done quite a lot of missions for Gallente Navy Command division agents (hundreds since about december 2003) and while I agree that 97% kill missions is a bit high the 50% figure is entirely wrong. I've gotten about 90-95% kill mission the rest being mostly courier and some trade and even mining missions thrown in. ----- Sable's Ammo Shop at Alentene 5, Moon 4, Duvolle Laboratories Factory. i concur on the 50/50 for command agents. i can attest to this because Youl isn't the combat center of the galaxy. =( ______________________ Best darned links ingame and out (backup) |

Yes I agree. Legal gives some courier missions but 90-95% seems to be kill missions. _______________________________________________

A dev mentioned that command agents are 50-50.......
Maybe it differs according to empire.....or maybe its a bug.Maybe some races agents havent been updated yet.
You are free to come to isto and use the command agent there......i guarantee you will not get close to 90% kill missions.

1. Corp as well as division can affect mission type balance. I found that my Transstellar security agent gave me more courier missions than an Amarr Navy security agent, for example.
2. These numbers seem to be useless once you get to lvl 4. My lvl 4 admin agent has given me 90% kill so far.

This thread is a straight re-post of a 4 month old thread, and thus pretty much useless.
All the data that it is based on is pre-Exodus, and was unreliable even then. As JP Beauregard posted in the original thread, in order to get reliable data you need to do a lot more than run a handful of missions for a single agent of a single corp.
A general overview of mission types per division (in the form of "Security - mostly kill; Marketing - mostly courier") is useful, but already contained in most decent mission walkthroughs. If you want hard numbers, you have to work a lot more professional - collect data from many agent runners, and observe the influence of agent levels, different corps/factions, system security status etc. Would be moderately interesting, but probably not worth the effort.
Since S'Daria simply reposted the old numbers, without any additions or further explanations, I assume she's just begging for attention.

Ok I'll change it to:
Command 90% Kill 5% Courier 5% Other

No. It may be linked to...but atm the data is out of date for level IV missions.

What's wrong with these? Do you have any valid data?

Interesting...perhaps I should have 2 lists...one for level III and one for level IV agents?

Interesting...if that is true that pretty much invalidates this entire list. Originally by: Toran Mehtar 2. These numbers seem to be useless once you get to lvl 4. My lvl 4 admin agent has given me 90% kill so far.
Like I said, perhaps there's needs to be a separate list for level IV agents since that list is from level III agent 3 months ago.

No i just like making random guesses about divisions i never worked for...
My level 4 Legal agent offered me little to no courier missions during my time with him. ---------------------------

The type of ship available can affect the kind of missions offered.
I have found that if I have all types of ship then my administration agent gives 50% combat, 50% courier, but if I have only an indy available then the combat missions drop to 33% and courier goes up to 66%.

I think the fact that a dev said commands are 50-50 is proof enough eh.

i've always been fascinated by this subject. think it was the first thread i ever placed in my 'favorites' folder...I don't believe there's been much change since exodus, yet i'm intrigued by the apparent disparity. I'm starting to suspect each corporate just might have different weight to a similar division in another corporation.
Hardly reason to invalidate this wonderful thread, but puts even more emphasis on discovering the intricacies of the game.
And as for the "omfg j00 n33d more data" rants. lol. I'm sure someone somewhere will take offense to even a dev coming out with the real skinny, no doubt. ______________________ Best darned links ingame and out (backup) |

What I'm wondering is why don't manufacturing divisions give "manufacturing" missions. They should give you something to build via a bpc. That would be very nice. And R&D, you would think, should give items to research. Seems obvious. ---------------------------
