(btw, TRILL are not in any way a Pirate Corp, and have no intention of ever being one, I just feel some people have to take up this role, and PL, although extremely ruthless, have built a substantial reputation, despite maybe a few transgressions of exploits back along, they have performed the pirate role well thus far)

Now to the anticipated advice.

First, just a little bit about me.

I am Lady Spank, CEO of the TRILL Corp. B4 this game we were a fairly large Jumpgate squad, but more relevant to this thread, we have been for the past 3.5 years, and still are today, a Half Life 2 DM squad.

We are currently ranked No.2 in the world, and have the worlds No.1 player in our ranks, aswell as 2 more of the worlds top 10. I also am part of the Leadership for the european league, HLCCL, with over 50 clans, and 600+ registered players.

ok so now to the point.

Clan TRILL, are huge, we have been the largest, probably best known clan in HLDM ever, we have 5 divisions (TRILL1 -> TRILL5), each in different classes within the HLCCL Leagues. But our size/success, has brought us many enemies, for a while, it was almost constant TRILL bashing, a term that surrounded the miriad of bs we had to put up with, just because peeople had a problem with one of our 60 members, or sometimes, just cos they had a problem with us as a whole, ostly for very little or no reasons, they slated us, made up bs about us etc.

This period bred a certain ammount of defensive paranoia, I found myself leaping to my clans defense, if only the smallest remark was made, often mis-interpreting said comment, or going way overboard in my reaction.

You guys, are falling into the same trap imho. This, whilst really has no great effect on your characters in game, does lead others to jump on the hate PL bandwagon, which in turn leaves them believing the same bs that you guys try daily to say isnt true, as because of your reaction, they believe there cant be smoke without fire.

Also you will lose respect from those that currently respect you, as simply you will be seen to be arrogant (a forced attitude when you realise that no matter what you say, noone is gonna believe you), and overly defensive in your nature.

You guys are doing what you have decided to do, you are role playing, and doing good job of it, as I say, I hope a member of TRILL doesnt fall to your indiscriminate Killing, but if they do, so be it, it is a real threat, and one we understand fully.

I have payed on 2 occassions your members, to pass through the passeri gate, and we are not a rich Corp but we understand the reality of role play, I guess it was the steep learning curve that we were on in Jumpgate that has helped us.

So the Killing without warning accusation, whilst true, has been avoidable both times for me, by contacting your members in Local, and asking the situation.

250m and 300m have been the asking prices, to allow my members through, a lot of money for our corp, but a price worth paying none the less.

So I hope you guys can take a step back, and try not to react with vicious defense everytime someone makes a comment pertaining to you, as it has the total opposite effect to the desire of a defensive reaction, it offends, and causes the original accusation, to gain weight/justification.

Anyways, this game is like ****** for me and my corp members at the moment, so no doubt we will see you guys in space, and as long as we see you first, you wont see us :) Well, not yet anyway :)
