Live events are not "players versus CCP."
If you notice anything happen during a live event that seems to fall outside the rules and game mechanics players must abide by, rest assured it's to perpetuate the story, not to win a fight.

So what your saying is your full of something that comes out of what you appear to be talking out off?
Maybe you should take FW to highsec where pirates can't stop people bursting to tears and cheating like you guys do, If you guys run in lowsec or 0.0 your going to run into pirates, deal with it, don't cheat like a bunch of *******s..
Love ya CCP!!!! Lol

Whats the point in bringing them there, if not to kill them? If you want them not to be killed, just bring enough support so its not so easy to kill stuff...

Great to have live events back \o/
Maybe sansha loyalists will have a way to support Sansha yet again. And for the rest of us the reason to shoot them yet again :D
Much appreciated.

Just throwing a question your way here..
What happened to the other pirate factions? Blood Raiders, Guristas, Angels, Serpentis.. Are we to think they are unable to do an incursion? --- "Multiple exclamation marks are a sure sign for a diseased mind." -Terry Pratchett --- For your donation: 1CqZGxT3HFmzp1uZGndvn9tVr7jDpHMnUF |

The key to the incursions is the fact that sansha have the wormhole generating tech. I remember hearing about some angels in an event in minmatar space, though i wasn't there... I imagine the other factions will be making appearances too.

Oh wait, I can't because it's not for all timezones, only EU (and some early US players).
Way to go CCP, doesn't you game run 23/7?

Do your actors/GM's running events have greater control tools for use with the NPC's they spawn, than in past live events?

If you paid a tiny bit of attention during this vid you would know that CCP Dropbear and Headfirst working hours are according to EST.
But I guess it's more fun to be another fool on the forums.

We don't have any "favorite" RPers, people. Anyone who shows up to an event and makes an honest attempt at interacting with us in character has a good chance of getting pulled into the story line.
You're absolutely correct, though: Role-playing in EVE needs a major boot up the ass. Your boot, your ass. Let's see what you've got, EVE community! :)
Firstly, thanks for the response :) Second, it certainly appears to someone on the outside like me, and with my numerous abortive attempts to get into the RP scene, that the perception is at least there that there appear to be favourites. I assume you've heard this remark before as it was the first thing you decided to be defensive about with regards to my post. You say just turn up to an event and make an honest attempt to interact in an IC fashion; my point is even more valid. People like me get ignored in favour of more established RPers and actors thrashing out their latest *****-fest. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for continuity of plot and interaction between long-established rivalries. But that elitism again rears its head. You don't get that level of pig-headedness with PL or Atlas., and they're pretty arrogant when it comes to their specialist subject.
I shall be watching this however. Just because I am massively disillusioned with roleplaying within Eve, doesn't mean to say I've given up on the idea entirely.
Edit: if somebody out there is taking even the slightest bit of pity towards me, I'm interested in either Caldari or Sansha rp. Help a bro out with a friendly mail pointing me in the right direction please :) Yes, I'm an alt. Deal with it. |

I would much rather play around with BoB/IT/Raiden. than try any more to integrate myself with a bunch of... I won't say, I'm too polite.
Ignore those people and carry on RP'ing your thing regardless. If you come up with something interested it will get acknowledged sooner or later. Personally I don't use any of the community sites other than the IGS and I just do what I think makes sense for my character.
What I don't do is try to involve myself with every damned thing, for one thing I only have some much time, for another I prefer to pick and choose what is relevant to me.
So long as you are respectful (OOC at least!) then you should be 'accepted' sooner or later. And if not, ignore them.
I agree Ugleb.
I run with a bunch of OOC'ers, but I fully enjoy PVP and RP myself. I contribute to the immersion when and where I can. I have read a lot of the material and I even find PVPers getting into the story a lot.
Best thing is to do your own thing and stitch it in with others. Write a blog that is setup like a captain's log or etc. Use the gate.eveonline.com site to broadcast things. Get a Twitter account for your capsuleer. Find others who are doing the same. My RP style tends to float around actual events that happen to me in game mixed with out of game events. One thing I've found is that on teamspeak and in everyday Eve related communications your character becomes you. What's interesting about Eve is that you are never given a role to pick. Like you know, "I'm the barbarian, you be the thief, etc"... what interests you as a real live person is what you gravitate to. Your involvement within the politics of Eve, or the looting of scraps, or hunting foes.. all of it... writes out who your character is.
If you happen to get podded like 100 times a week. Write about it. Try to use available "game lore" you find on the Eve site and those awesome short stories to color what you write, but don't let it constrain you to feeling like you have to always do this. Use the Eve communities words.. yeah even things like getting "Concorded". Many non-roleplayers could identify and may want to join in.
Be that which you want others to be. Be the example. _______________________________________

Originally by: Niraia That's great and all, but the player (Ghost Hunter) you use to communicate with on the Sansha side is an alliance thief who has banned me from the in-game channel that event staff roleplaying Sansha characters use to communicate the location and progress of incursions during live events.
I've attempted to contact them about this and have received no response, so modified my roleplay accordingly.
What good is this to me? I'm most likely alone, but I also think of pilots who would rather not associate themselves with a known thief and the kids that flock to his banner; some of which laughably aren't deemed worthy enough to be in the aforementioned channel by the aforementioned moron who owns it.
Is this something you can address? I'll live, but it still leaves a sour taste.
Further, it's still near-impossible for Nation loyalist capsuleers to help during unmanned incursions. Kuvakei owes me a Megathron from my last attempt :p
Perhaps you would be more accepted if you were to get that breast augmentation you so desperately need?

Dear lazy, bored devs. Instead of wasting your time roleplaying for a few hours, fix your game. In sandbox games, events should be player-driven, not dev-driven. If you find yourself being forced to do this crap to keep your fanboi flock of golden geese interested, there's something wrong with your game.
(Unless this live event removes all incursions from the game, in which case, carry on.)

The sky is not falling, these events are not taking away time from fixing bugs. If not for a few writers creating the backstory for the sandbox, we'd all be... pushing sand around, I guess. |

Live events are great. Incursions was disappointing overall as it is localized to areas with accel gates. One question though...why do the Sansha carriers not fight? During their recent invasion in Hebisa the Chimera was seemingly a sacrificial lamb. Other than a few smartbombs, why dont we see drones, fighters, or a wave of support ships? Anyways, this is a good move in my book.

ALL what CCP does now is worthless, useless and unwanted crap. Do something useful.
- Close the NEX-Store - Bring content to the CQ (it is now absolute useless) - BRING BACK THE OLD HANGAR VIEW!!! ("The door" is a affront) - Fix Bugs (there are enough of it) - ...
I do not want to interact with one of the CCP guys. -CCP vs. Player- Facepalm.. what's this crap? Do your work and fix the game and do not deviate from the current problems in EVE. Not all of us are happy with the last expansions / patches. CCP has enough proposals how to do better. Read your own forum and act!
And remove the damn door in my station!!!
