So I was wondering how many think CCP should make the art department work on new effects for the sensor boosters and tracking computers?
Why do you ask?
It's too huge and makes big fleets look like a ball of blue light :3, basicly making it look bad...? I was thinking something smaller at least, perhaps just a small shine on the ship, but not alot of waves comming out into space?
What do you guys think, should we convince CCP to change the current "huge lightning show effects" that some modules currently give that obscure the beauty of eve?... or does it matter at all? Probably wont matter to most, as most pilots i know turn off all that lag inducing garbage off anyway in fleet fights. I honestly have them turned off all the time. Doesn't matter to me, don't know about anyone else tho |

Actually OP had a point here. Sensor boosters and tracking comps may be so standard that putting an effect on them like this detracts from, rather than enhances, the art. Interesting thought!

You do have a point, although I'd actually be happier if a sensible form of formations was incorporated into game... which would actually make those effects look cool again for large fleets. To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

Strange. I hardly see them at all. Aren't they really faint? You have to be zoomed in pretty close to see the effects in the first place.
What about tracking links? Are they huge bright waves racing across your screen?
I'm surprised that they aren't complaining about neuts and nos. |

That. Sensor booster and gan links have the exact same effect, if anything thsoe need to have different effects. Is that bc, cs boosting the fleet or just trying to lock us faster? would help with prioritizing targets. And yeah unless I'm zoomed way in I don't really notice them even on caps.
