A fleet of 70 pilots under the conditions stated IS sizeable. It was created on the spur of the moment, in high sec and composed of people who donÆt normally fly together. Not too shabby.

The OP has not whined so much as he has chided CCP for what he considers a lack in the event and at the same time suggesting a course of action to improve the event. You have to admit, it was pretty short lived.
CCP have said many times that they wish feedback. This is it.

YouÆve omitted the pertinent variables in your calculation. For instance the fact that the elitist is a member of a corp boasting over two thousand. Easy for a corp like that to gather hundreds. Hard for a group of strangers from a number of different corps to get together.
You know this and youÆre just posting to be contentious. Come up with better or risk being ignored.

A nice thought except for a couple things. Incursions happen a lot more often than live events. In fact they are a persistent feature in EVE. Also, each incursion lasts a good deal longer than an hourààà.more like days.
