You can't sell "Aura", it's part of the UI / make-belief-ship-computer But I suppose you meant "Aurum" (as in, AUR).
And no, you can't sell that either... YET. At some point in the future, CCP said they might introduce a way to transfer AUR between characters. But the only way to "sell" it right now is to buy something from the NEX with it and sell whatever you purchased for ISK.

Anyone wanna make some isk bids on some nex items? Max price is 1000Au though (I'm just going with the free Au everyone got, obviously).
I'm also away on holiday from eve for two weeks. Evemail me at indeedwatson.

Edited by: Valor D''eglise on 30/07/2011 02:46:12 "some nex items", he said. Your 1000 AUR can be used on one item only, the boots, which are basically worthless, because no one else sees them. And if you have checked the market lately, you sure noticed the "apparel" category. Which should answer your question on how to sell Nex items: rightclick->sell this item.

The same way you can sell any other regular item, like, say, a ship : on the market, via contracts or through direct trades. Yes, all NEX items can be sold on the market. And if you go to Jita, I bet you can find buy orders up for just about any of them. _

This will be the day when the market will be flooded with things from the 'free AUR' by people with multiple accounts. I wonder if CCP had thought about that ...

I couldn't get the closet door open in my Captain Quarters so I stuck all my pairs of boots under the bed. At first I thought to throw them over the railing in the ship docking area, but knew eventually I would want them and hiking down to get them would be a real pain.

The railings look pretty sturdy, why not just tie the laces onto them and toss the boots over to dangle?

I think someone mistakenly dumped 100 pairs of boots on my floor.
It obviously wasn't me. Unless I was making buy orders in my sleep again. That could be a problem...

Now see this frustrates me. I spent all that time tucking them under the bed where I will have to pull them all out to find a pair that aren't scuffed when if I had used my head a little I could have deployed your tactic and been able to admire them and throw them at the dock workers when they got out of line. Well off to dig out my boots and tie them to the railings. Thanks!

Plus you'd need a pair of hiking boots....

Actually, Aura is the plural accusative form of the Latin word Aurum, so the OP is not entirely off.

Also, the adjutant from starcraft and monica from that short lived comic series.
And Cortana. She's fresh. I will go no further in describing that one.
If you've got the hots for the AI from reach, then it's on the way. Gladus - she's a bit cranky, but if that's your thing, she'll do.
What other cliche AIs are there? The girl from homeworld, perhaps. Limited time deals on those.

Well according to that link, you can bid on AUR. Though I don't know how to set up bids or set up orders. Is it possible the owner of the shares buys the AUR?

Just chiming in to congratulate the OP and mock everyone else in this thread.
Aurum is a latin noun referring to gold; this is why there was the scare about "gold ammo," in reference to items being purchased for aura.
aurum (genitive aurī); n, second declension gold (as mineral or metal) gold (colour) any object made of gold, such as a gold coin or a gold ring
Inflection Number / Singular / Plural nominative / aurum / aura genitive / aurī / aurōrum dative / aurō / aurīs accusative / aurum / aura ablative / aurō / aurīs vocative / aurum / aura
TL/DR - The OP was correct in saying the word aura as the plural of aurum.

"gold ammo" is of course no reference to AP ammo being sold for a MT currency called "gold" in some other game that many EVE players (and some developers) happen to play while spinning their ships.
you are a failure.

Pray tell how many pages of google results you have to go through when you search for the word "aura" to find out that it is NOT the plural of gold you lazy prick.
I'll give you a hint. Click on the word "aura" on the wiktionary page you quoted and it takes you to: "From Latin aura (ôa breeze, a breath of air, the airö)"
You might also want to try searching google for "uncountable nouns" and see if that helps. I don't think anyone was mocking the OP, but I don't mind mocking you.

Second entry for me was wikipedia, which had nothing about plural for Aurum being Aura. Nothing really defining on the first google page, so I went to dictionary.com
I got:
au+rum /ˈɔrəm/ Show Spelled[awr-uhm] noun Chemistry . gold. Symbol: Au
Gold. With no plural. Reasonable to assume that since Aurum is English and it's definition is gold, and Aurum has no plural in English, that its plural is Aurum. Also fits in Eve, since we already have something called Aura here. ---- Only YOU can prevent idiotic posts! |

You need to open an account. Once you login it will be fairly obvious how to place buy/sell orders.

"I see" said the blind man. As I already pointed out, when you click on those links the plural of "gold" turns out to be "air". If this is your only source, I'm not sure I would trust it.

I suggest having a look at this Latin Word Study Tool for all your Latin (and Greek) needs:
http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/morph?l=chartis&la=la&prior=e
Type in aura on the right hand side (with Latin selected) and then when it comes up click 'Lewis and Short', which is the standard Latin dictionary. You'll then get the definition of the word with examples, etc.
