Edited by: Hugo Smith on 01/08/2011 05:07:44 Hey Folks.
Now before I post this and get my ass flamed off by troll's. Yes I am new to POS setting up, No I will not tell you where I am setting up this POS, No you cannot have my "stuff", No I will not "lend" the tower too you so you can set it up for me and I think my mother acually has quiet a nice figure. Now that thats over with:
I have recently "aquired" a small domination control tower. Instead of just selling it I intend to put it up in my alliance's wormhole for the sake of storing my **** and producing ammo. This requires me to fit these for modules:
1 x Assembly Array - Ammunition 1 x Corporate Hangar Array 1 x Ship Maintenance Array
Now its only a C3 hole so the largest attacking force will be a few BSes or a fleet of stealth bombers. What kind of defences can I put onto it with my remaining 693k PG and 1200 CPU. I know the basics of setting up turrets along the meridian and equatorial axis's on large POSes but I really dont know where to start with a small POS with limited resources. Any help would be greatly apreciated.
Another question being: would it even be worth setting up a small tower in a C3? Or would it be a more sound investment if I put it up in hisec and if so what defences would you recomend for a highsec deterence?
Cheers Hugo
PS: I know this is "Ships and Modules" but I couldnt think of a more apropriate forum. If this is considered incorrect please move it for me mod's.

more better in high sec(limited to being attacked during wars only then) smalls can barely defend themselves from themselves
start by reading this(it's in the Science and Industry sticky) http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=817184
after that, if you want to put it in a C3(without a planner for maths in front of me), similar defenses can be used for high sec(but they can be offline there, just have an alt with roles that can online them in times of war) couple webs, long range point, some small and medium guns(don't need large as they are for vs Caps), then cram the rest with ECM(can't kill what you can't lock) ---------------------------------------------------------- WTB Sig must include NOS Domi KILLING Ponies other details to be discussed, EVEmail me for details |

This.
Best to have a mix of AC and Arty small and medium guns, the E war mods are handy too. Take lots of stront and fuel, keep the corp hangar close to the tower, the ship array is usually best directly above or below the tower so you won't bump the tower when you warp to it (personal preference here tho).

The best way to really defend the POS is to have a fleet ready to defeat the attacking fleet once the stront timer runs out.
Everything else your guns/ewar do is define the minumum amount of effort it taskes to take down the POS. Ironically that means you wonŠt really notice if someone sees the POS and decides to move on because of the guns. Those that do attack are usually prepared to deal with the POS and need to be driven away by a fleet to safe the POS.
