Can't install EVE -- corrupt data package.... please help

TheFianna	Posted - 2011.08.01 05:30:00 - [1] I've tried both the online installer and the offline installer, and both tell me that the downloaded data package is corrupt. It also keeps asking if I want to use the repair tool, and I click yes, but no progress is ever made. How can I get it to install? I played EVE a few years ago, and decided to try it again with the offer of five free days. So far, two days have passed and I haven't even been able to install the game.

I tried the downthemall method in that thread, and I got the same result. Then I tried the repair tool method (from that same thread) and I think I have all the game files, but every time I try to run the game it tells me the CCP ExeFile has stopped working.

The repair can take a while depending on how out of date your client is.
