You may have heard Funky mention this over the last few weeks but if not, heres the lowdown.
Next saturday during the Veto Summercamp the assembled partygoers will be broken down into small groups akin to CCP's SCRUM teams and given a wad of paper and pens and told to develop awesomesauce ideas for Eve Online.
The goal here is to iterate and suggest features to help improve the game we all love and cherish. Chances are some of these teams will also have CCP Devs sitting in with them to help flesh out these ideas and (at the end) be presented to a full panel of Dev Judges to give each teams ideas the American/Pop Idol treatment where the good ideas are praised and the bad ones horribly mocked. Sounds interesting? Good. Here's how the humble non attending Eve Online player can get involved.
Eve Radio will be hosting it's own virtual SCRUM team to take part in this torrid affair and thanks to the magic of internet communication, some of you will be joining Funky and Larkin as they work on the absolute BEST ideas in the world and create something worth of possible inclusion within Eve Online in the future.
Interested? Good. Heres the catch.
There are a maximum of 10 places set aside for this SCRUM team and much like buttholes, everybody has ideas they think are brilliant and worthy of Dev notice. Therefore, to filter out the terrible ideas we would like you to mail in with your preliminary idea for inspection by a panel of Eve Online veterans here at Eve Radio and the 10 best will get invited to join the ER SCRUM team and develop them further with the others during the Summercamp event and have the very best presented to the panel of judges.
* While the ideas that get presented may be good ones and approved of by CCP Devs, that's not to say that anything will ever come of them. Just because the devs like your idea does not constitute any sort of contract or promise that it will be implemented or even talked about further down the line. That's not to say it won't happen at some point, just don't go expecting it.
Regardless of this (not Irregardless, Americans) there are prizes supplied by Battleclinic which are up for grabs if your ideas blow away the competition. Full details of these and the governing rules for the SCRUM will be made available to you should you be invited to take part in the event.
For now, get your thinking caps on and hastily scrawl some ideas down and submit them to [email protected] with the subject title SCRUM and in the body include your prefered ingame character contact name name by 23:59 (gmt) Thursday 11th August.
If successful, you will be notified by email during the course of Friday with additional information and voice comms details (Probably mumble). Please ensure that you are available from 1pm Central time on Saturday (6pm gmt) for setup and introduction but don't forget the entire event will be streamed live on air and in HD/SD video via the Eve Radio website from 10am (Central) 3pm (gmt).
For further details please see the event information page at the Veto Summercamp website.

Could you please clarify? What kind of ideas do buttholes usually have, and why do they consider them brilliant? - gallenteprime.com |
