I'd have given him a first class exit at the end of a gun.

Rule 1. Don't recruit idiots.
Rule 2. They're all idiots.
As for what you did ... kinda lame (C).

Originally by: Ghoest It sounds like you guys were A-holes - especially considering this is "your side" of the story.
Its really easy to take a couple of minutes and scan out an exit for an anxious noob.
This is unlikely it seems like they had either a nullsec static or were in a deep wormhole (with a static to other WH space).
Scanning your way to highsec out of a place like that is not something you do in a couple of minutes.
As for what happened here are a few thoughts:
He was a newish player and not ready for a WH yet you let him in (Your mistake) He was whining to the point of being a pain (His mistake) He got what he asked for... just not how he asked for it (a lesson learned)
I'd be more interested in knowing if you are still working on training this guy up to be of some use or if you've given up on him. Sooner or later you need to stress test recruits to see if they'll perform and I would have done this differently.
I know some sadists out there who would have blown up his ship but not his pod which left him with the very unsavoury choice of having to decide when to blow himself up (providing he didn't have access to other ships).

Edited by: Not-Apsalar on 18/08/2011 13:39:07 I would have podded him and just paid him the crap money for his ship because he's a corpy, then kicked him out of corp.

You should have told him that you can't self destruct his pod or he'll lose skill points, then kick him from the corp and let him wonder if he should self destruct his way out of the WH.
