Edited by: Jerry Pepridge on 17/08/2011 01:17:27 New face on MD here, trying to begin grinding out an honest reputation. That is the one and only purpose of this bond.
I would like to borrow the total amount of 1 billion isk from public investors, and pay back that amount with interest immediately upon reciept of the full 2 billion.
My business plan: Absolutely none! The invested ISK will not be used for any manufacturing/trading/other business activities. I will be paying the interest with my own personal ISK made through other ventures.
I fully plan on repeating this or similar bonds, for further rep grinding.
I would like to separate this bond into 10 chunks of 200m each, to expose my name a bit more, but I understand that interest will be limited due to the risk of being scammed, so if it comes down to it, I would be willing for fewer investors to fill the whole thing.
I have some items available for collateral, but this bond will be uncollateralized, because the currency I want to deal with here is trust (in short supply I know).
Am I an alt? Why yes, yes I am. My main character is a fairly well established Hi-sec carebearer since 2006. I would prefer not to disclose this information publicly because I have been entertaining the idea of doing some character selling/buying on the character baazar forum, and I want to avoid attaching the rep I want to build on this character with my other toons who may or may not stay in my posession.
I would be glad to privately disclose my main identity to those investors who choose to trust me.
Is this risky? As with anything on MD or available anywhere in EVE for that matter, its hard to be sure it's not a scam. I fully expct to not be trusted much at this point.
Due to the odd nature of this bond, in that the invested ISK will not actually be USED for anything, I will pay your interest and return investment immediately upon reciept of the full 2 bil.
This will hardly tie up your ISK at all, and it will make a quick 5%. I know 1 billion is chump change for most of the MD crowd, much less the paltry 200m I would like per investor, but this is a good short term easy income.
My eventual goal: This is a long term project to increase my rep with the MD forum crowd. I hope to build myself up solidly enough to eventually become a trusted 3rd party for investment and business transactions, as well as holding collateral, so people feel safe and secure using my services. For a small fee of course!
Bond spots:
Thank you!

Edited by: A Little Girl on 17/08/2011 05:28:00 This reminds me of the time I made Titans4U and told everyone I would scam them and I have a history of scamming. Then I scammed them and went off with hundreds of billions. After that I still showed up whenever I saw someone mention my name anywhere at all.

My sincere apologies for leaving a note with sour taste, but I don't see how this would build a reputation among MD community.
You are basically handing out meager ISK for free. I think the only way to build yourself as a reputable third party is through time.
You can't just build reputation by handing out couple of millions of ISK.
A+ for the effort, but F- for the logic behind this.

New to MD? Perhaps. But I am vastly more knowledgeable than you when it comes to actual investing and financial markets.
And my investment/accounting gut instinct tells me that what you are doing here is a waste of time and a futile attempt for a laughable prospective scam.

The truth is I trust Jerry's offering more than most others. He devotes alot of time to preventing people from being scammed. He demonstrates a level of integrity even if it wears a troll disguise.

Trolling the troll fails when you don't realize the whole thread is mocking another one. Let me lay this out for you:
NOT A REAL IPO/BOND/SCAM ATTEMPT/BEG
That is all.

1) Buy monocle 2) Claim you are vastly more knowledgable than a troll, trolling a scam thread. 3) Cross post it to the scam thread. 4) ??? 5) Feel important _________________________________________________
