Here's what I propose,
Tom Hegen and Levija Saplina agreed to split the bond amount early on, so they can still split the bond. They invest 1.25 Billion ISK each to cover the 2.5 Billion ISK bond. I pay them 5% interest at the end of 30 days. If Levija Saplina does not want to participate given the change from 10% to 5% interest, Tom Hegen may take the full bond amount by himself.
RAW32 acts as the third-party and holds the collateral and earns a 5% fee.
This way, I have a separate third-party, and am still spending the same 10% as offered in my original posts. If this is acceptable by all three parties (tom, Lev, and Raw), simply confirm by replying in the thread and we can get this bond rolling.

I can't claim to understand the reasoning behind this but yes, I would be happy to hold the collateral on these conditions.

Dropping from 5% to 10% is a bit too much. So I guess Tom can take the whole bond.

But how would insisting that the collateral holder and the investors be different help in this regard?

My thinking behind having separate investors and collateral holders is basically that:
1.) I am willing to pay out about 10% interest on this bond. 2.) When I researched Tom Hagen and RAW23, neither seemed to have any history of scamming, but RAW had a much larger and longer history (raw has 100 pages of posts on eve-search vs. Tom's 6 pages), hence I trust Raw to hold the collateral. 3.) I would have been comfortable letting RAW hold the collateral AND be the sole investor with a 5% interest rate, but since I was, am still am, willing to pay out 10% there is no real reason to cut Tom out of the deal other than to simply save a bit of ISK. 4.) Considering the small amount of work involved with producing 10K units of T2, and with the high profit margin I will make on the production during this bond, I don't really care if I payout 5% or 10%. The difference is negligible. 5.) I could have just gone with RAW, saved 5%, and just cut Tom out of the deal, but call it "the right thing to do" or call it eHonor... I felt I should allow Tom the right to invest and make some money since he was the first person to be interested in the bond.
As for rep grinding, it has nothing to do with it. I am going to run this bond, and possibly one other bond next month, and then I will have enough capital to continue on my own without further investments needed. In the future I could add more toons, or add more POS arrays, but I've already been there and done that and it felt more like a job than a game. I am comfortable producing 10K units per month with 2 toons, earning enough to buy a PLEX, still have money left over to set aside to buy shiny new toys.. and most importantly, have enough time to have fun in-game.

You do understand that if you pay two investors 5% return on their investment, it doesn't make you pay out 10% return on the investment right ?
X * 1.05 + Y * 1.05 =/= (X+Y) * 1.10 ...
I mean, basic maths etc... |

He's paying the investors 5% on their investment and the collateral holder a 5% fee on the total, giving 10% total payout. |

Oh I see, even worst than what I thought then. This is terrible. In so many ways. |

Tom Hagen and I have reached a agreement in regards to collateral, and he will be taking the full 2.5B ISK bond. Assuming that Tom will be sending the ISK to me tomorrow, please consider this bond filled.
Thanks everyone for all the interest in this and best of luck in the future.

Tom Hagen,
I have been working hard, everything has gone even better than planned, and I am ready to finish this bond early. Please contract the collateral back to me for 2.75 Billion ISK (2.5 Bil + 10% interest = 2.75 Bil) so we can finish our business together.
Thanks, Souris
