Hi guys, Suppose I'm out tooling around in a 0.4 or a 0.3 or where ever and I get engaged in a fight, If by some miracle I actually win the fight, does that mean that my sec status get lowered when I cross into Amarr space ? Or if it was on the flip side, I ( or the group I was with) start a fight, does the sec status get lowered? And if anyone has any tips or tactics to share regarding staying alive or out of trouble in low sec, then that would be great too. Thanks ! Amar. |

If they have sec status -5 or lower, you can open fire at will with no consequences. They should be orange flashy on your overview. If you are aggressed first, you can retaliate with no consequences. If your sec status is above -5, then gate and station guns will defend you, so you have a bit of an advantage in low sec.

You get a SECURITY standing loss if you are first to shoot a non outlaw (red on overview). This can eventually lead to restrictions to travel in high sec but one or two kills is meaningless for this.
You do not get any FACTION hits so it wont hurt your amarr standings, but if you kill enough people you will find yourself slowly restricted from safe passage in high sec.
Overall dont let it put you off fighting anyone, it's not that harsh unless you are killing dozens of people or killing their pods. ~~~ Signature removed for not being EVE related. Zymurgist

Yeah, what they said, basically.
You're OK for unrestricted access to HiSec as long as your personal security status is above -2.00.
In general, avoid podding people, especially in 0.4 as that's a huge security-hit.
Oh, and whatever you do, do not jump back into Hi from LoSec whilst your Global Criminal Countdown is still active--that will hurt (IE: CONCORDokken)...
