Hi,after i was done with The Blood-Stained Stars Epic Arc i was going to do the Caldari Epic Arc,but before i do i have a question to ask first.
my question is will the Caldari Epic Arc make me go below 0.5 systems,If not which branches would i have to pick to keep me out of low sec space?
The reason im concerned about this is cause im not ready for any type of pvp and i cant afford to lose my ships. :(
Thank you in advance for the help.

I don't mind courier missions. Just want to stay out of systems below 0.5
Edit: well from what im reading it doesn't seem like im gonna be able to stay out of systems under 0.5,may have to skip the Arc after all :(

You only have to go into lowsec about 3 times and provided you don't take the home in peace branch they can all be done in a shuttle, not really that dangerous.

What others have said. The missions to low/null are hardly a concern. There really isn't any reason to have such a phobia of low/null, even at low sp's (which I'm assuming you have).
I will mention though, some of the encounters are fairly difficult. You'll be fighting a lot of BS's at least once, so if you aren't able to handle 4's, you probably can't handle those missions alone. Also, a word of warning since it's fresh in my mind. The last mission is nasty, I lost a Tengu to it just last night. Definitely make sure you're prepared to handle perma-jamming, and stack a heavy kin/therm tank. I was being lazy, and just warped to 0 on the can with the standard small booster omni tanked Tengu....didn't go well. Triple webs, jammed, and triple scrams aren't a good thing. Just a word of warning. The rewards from the arc are quite nice, and it's an enjoyable change of pace from standard missions.
Also, if you haven't already stumbled across this:

That guide is definitely good.
And you really should not be scared to enter low sec in a shuttle; you instantly warp and the only thing that might kill you is a well timed smartbomb at a gate. And the gates you pass in the epic arc has just about zero chance of that happening.

Thank you for the Warning,I do Level 4 missions a lot normally, sometimes i do lvl 3's when i don't feel like doing 4's. I do use a Rattlesnake/Active Shield for mission running,i seem to survive longer than i did in my Raven i don't have to warp out as much.Does take longer to kill stuff though.
Curious will i have to do any kill missions in low/null sec in the arc? If so do i need to worrie about players showing up in the mission area? or is it just courier missions, plus does a shuttle even have enough room to do them?
Thanks guys for the help and thanks for not flaming me,yea i sound like a care bear its just pvp isn't in my blood lol,i have the utmost respect for people that do do PvP.

Edited by: pussnheels on 22/08/2011 08:41:56 like previous posters mentioned take a shuttle or something else really fast , normally you don't even meet anyone maybe just the occasonal solo roamer who doesn't care about your shuttle
and if you take the nullsec choice in that first courier mission never but NEVER fly straight to the next gate in null sec fly to a planet a and then warp to the next gate But overall these missions can be done relative quick even considering the number of jumps you need to do
By the way i think the caldari epic arc is probably the easiest of all 4 faction epic arcs the two hardest epic missions are ascending nobles mission in the amarr epic mission and showtime in the gallente epic one , now those are some fine challeging missions ---------------------------------------------- God knows everything but a true amarrian knows everything even better |

i want to add something more...once i travelling in low with 5 crystal implant in my head,in shuttle ..and a pirates pod me....so from that time then i go in low/null sec i change clone..take one with nothing in head....after this all pirates can kill me...i dont loose nothing...just update after kill clone for no loose SP.. the null sec part in Caldari Epic Arc its the best...if you take Hyasyoda path you take the Hyasyoda Laboratory at the end....this is good also too:)))

Believe me it works, and the low sec is safer no bubbles but less reward
And by the way there is nothing scary about lowsec if you are just passing thru , gatecamps can be avoided if you are flying with a small agile ships, most systems are basicly empty, most important NO bubbles only the faction warfare systems you might find some people.
leaving station might contain some risk but again a fast agile ship solves it , if not redock asap when they are camping the undocking bay of a station
Ratting and doing missions in low sec are much more risky but with some research and a cheap good fitted ship can be very rewarding
Remember no matter what and how you play one day you will get ganked , one day you will be forced into pvp , one day you will go to lowsec or nullsec and one day you might even find it more fun than high sec , just takes a small mentallity change , it is a game ---------------------------------------------- God knows everything but a true amarrian knows everything even better |

well i will but not this time. maybe not this char. suffice skill and income for my future char in low sec so i can gank as much as i need without worry out of money.
