Edited by: Istvaan Shogaatsu on 02/03/2005 16:19:19 I'm not talking about the general crapulence of offers, but the relative worthlessness of items like navy issue guns and modules, when compared to ships.
Once I got over 300k LP, I started getting offered things like Caldari Navy Siege missile launchers and Caldari Navy 425mm Railguns. These were either marginally above the top named item (well below faction) or even more worthless - I still get these crappy, crappy item offers even as I near getting enough SP for a Caldari Navy Raven.
A 425mm Caldari Navy Railgun is NOT worth 300k LP or whatever it costs. It shouldn't be worth more than 75k LP in my opinion, or roughly as much as a faction frigate... these sell for 250 million on the open market, whereas a Cal Navy siege costs four times the LP and probably wouldn't net half as much. If anything, 300k LP should pony up a 5-run BPC of the item or something. There's a very good reason you're not seeing any of these Navy items on escrow, and that's because no-one in their right mind would ever take the offer.

I have no choice but to agree with this entirely.
The best example I have seen so far is ~80k lp for a Gallente Navy Heavy Electron Blaster (cruiser size). anybody want to pay 80 mil+ isk for that ?
On top of the lps, it also requires a shadow serpentis tag, which I happen to have because it drops from lvl 3 blockade mission occasionally. Strangely, the rat I got it from also dropped a Shadow Serpentis Heavy Electron Blaster, which has identical stats to the Gallente Navy version. Why bother with the offer when I can just kill the rats ?
What I really don't understand, is why would somebody who was loyal to a particular corp and faction find it easier and cheaper to get equipment from that faction's enemies ?
Please sort this CCP.

CCP dev chat has mentioned they were looking into it.
I can only pray faction mod, tags, etc are fixed.

Actually, nix what I said above. A Caldari Navy 425mm rail isn't worth 25k, much less 75k lp. If something is 'navy', shouldn't it be markedly better than at least top named?

I'd figure Navy items would be as good as faction items like Gistii and Centii etc, but thats just me.

Gotta say this is a real problem atm....
The latest offer I laughed at whilst kicking my agent was a 2 run BPC for a Minmatar Fleet Warp Scrambler.... here's the kicker...
110k LP's 1 Domination Gold Tag 15 Angel Gold Tag 15 Angel Silver Tag 15 Angel Bronze Tag 30 Angel Palladium/Electron Tag
ALL that for something that no-one in their right mind would buy for more than a mil a piece!!!! Something is really fubar when you get offers like these... Its not even like using faction stuff on the appropriate race gives a better bonus... e.g
Minmatar 1mn MWD bonus 600% speed, if used on a minmatar ship bonus is 650% bonus... At least then it a) throws a bone to people who specialise in their faction and b) its worth bothering to take the offer as RP'ers would love the chance to have that stuff as it has really EXCELLENT bonuses when used in their RP on their ships... ------------------------------------------------ "Life is but a Dream on the road to the reality of Death.. minnie warp scramblers are as good as domination? bout 12k range -2 strength? Ive seen these sell for 40-50mil, so 2 of them for 110k lps isnt too bad.
And caldari navy seige are as good as dread guristas which go for 250mil minimum on a regular basis

Yeah if it had just been the LP's it wouldnt have been so bad but the tag requirements tipped it over I think. ------------------------------------------------ "Life is but a Dream on the road to the reality of Death.. Now is the time to wake up......" - Ryaekk K. Dakalsai

I'm waiting for a Faction BS Offer for about 14 days now. Every time I get offers that are totally crap...e.g. 64 Ospreys, 1200 Magnetic Field Stabilizer I aso for about 200-300k LP. I'm actually @ 630-640k LP doing only one mission after I reject one of those "useful" offers to get another stupid offer.
Damn the whole Loyality Point System has no logic and seems to be developed by some amateurs.
Agents stop their offers if you reject one...WHY? Why they dont stop offering after an offer expires?? (So If you really want no new offers from your agent you can let your last offer expire and the agent wont talk to you anymore). But the current method is plain stupid if you use more than one agent or if you want to do other things during mission-running. You always have to come back to your agent to do another mission to get another offer. GREAT! I love those needless implementations. More than annoying.
Just my opinion. ____________________ CEO Denial of Service

i had a crap offer today 90k for some **** navy medium smartbomb bpc hell thats not even a module ive got to make it myself, i got offered a navy hookbil at 75k loyalty points? what gives?
i think 425's should be around 75k, siege launchers should be around the 100-200k (for multiple run bpc's) mark, faction frigates around 150k, cruisers ~300k, BS 600k+ etc. The crap stuff like smartbombs i dont want to be getting at 100k when i could get a faction ship for less lp's!
All in all the agent offers seem a tad messed up at the moment especially as im getting offers for less then half of my total LP's

Edited by: Kalsius Dakalsai on 04/03/2005 15:08:13 Jim, that change was intentional. You will get offers very close to your total LP's and offers of lower stuff... Like the poster above I am just waiting for a good offer so I can check out from this agent and go run a different one closer to my corps mates. I've been waiting over 2 weeks now for a good offer, thats SEVEN offers I've had and they've all been crap, I decline and then do a mission....Come back 2 days later rinse and repeat...
YET I am read on these very forums people doing lvl2 missions, getting +3 implants for 10k LPs which are worth 100mil!!!!! (** Yes I know it takes longer to get 10k as the missions give low LP but still!!)
I'd like to know if a dev is gonna let us know if there are any plans for change or whether we have to suffer this ridiculous system for a long time. ------------------------------------------------ "Life is but a Dream on the road to the reality of Death.. I dont mind getting offers for lower stuff i just think they need to make the boundary slightly narrower. Id say 50-60% of the total loyalty oints being the minimum it would go, im sure it must be annoying as hell for people looking to get a faction BS.

I think it would be interresting that agents give away Tech 2 modules in their offers.
It would be interesting to have a Power Diagnostic II for some LP!?!

Edited by: Shayla Sh''inlux on 04/03/2005 16:29:31 Just throwing another complaint in this thread:
Why are Caldari and Amarr navy modules as good as, or than better the faction ones and why are the Gallente navy and Minmatar fleet modules identical to tech II with slightly lower fitting requirement?
Gallente Navy Medium armor repairer? No thanks, I'll save myself 90K loyalty points and fit a tech II.
I can understand perfectly why everyone runs for Caldari. 1) You get shoot Gurista's, who drop the juicy (and expensive) missile boat loot. Pandemonium BCU anyone? 2) You get offers for Caldari Navy items, that are just as good as the Dread Gurista ones (aka, the best in the game except for the Gist and officer loot).
The same goes for Amarr.
Yet another reason how Caldari and Amarr get the love and Gallente and Minmatar get the shaft. It would be at least fair if that Gallente Navy Webber (you know that thing every blaster user needs) would be BETTER than a Domination or True Sansha. But no, we get a crappy 70% at 12 km. I'll keep my 95000 LP's.
Offers in general need to be worth taking. Otherwise we'll just end up saving up for a faction battleship, like everyone is doing now. Why bother taking any other offer? Except for the Navy BCU at 105K there is NO offer above 20K and under 450K worth taking.
Oh, and can we get some of that Corpum/Pith/Centum loot in the game? I'm getting really tired of seeing Escrow and this site's sell forum littered with Gist ubermods, while I have yet to *see* a SINGLE other Core faction module, let alone find one. And I have done those Serpentis complexes an AWFUL lot of times.
EDIT: In response to the guy above me: it would be very interesting if agents gave out limited run copies for t2 items at fairly low LP's. I'm talking 30K for a 20 run copy of a module (Cap recharger II??) or 100K for a 5 run copy of a Heavy Assault. Would allow the small producers that don't have multiple billions to enter the t2 market. I can imagine these BP's being sold on Escrow for quite some cash too.
