I tried looking this up in Evemon, but the rigs the build is recommending (Large CCCI x3) don't actually fit that slot. Should I back down to mediums or is there a better trio of rigs I should look at?
Thanks in advance.

Larges don't even fit on a Tengu. It's a medium-size ship, so it takes medium sized rigs. How old is your EVEmon?

You want the medium rigs for a Tengu.
Before you go out and buy the fittings, post the fitting here so we can ridicule.. er, improve your selection.

Rigs for Tengu essentially comes down to one choice: how many Medium Rigor Catalyst rigs do you exchange for Bay Loading Accelerators.
CCCs are the wrong kind of rig, and large rigs are for battleship-sized (and larger) ships. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡ you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki

One could argue (point out) that rigs depend on how you're fitting your Tengu (probably for missions and not cap stable) and that the rigs you use (as many cccs as you need to be stable) depend entirely on what your ship needs a bit more of (capacitor). -

One could argue that using anything larger than maybe a small pithi b booster is a waste because even that will tank a sanctums let alone missions. Go for more launchers bcu's and rigor's/flares(i know some like the rof rig, but i like furies hitting elite frigs for more than most peoples cn or precisions)

btw, this is one of the few ships i would really stress getting some +5% implants, at least for the ex radius and ex vel(really does make a difference) rigs let you leave in furies all the time(no wasted time reloading for frigs than back to furies for everything else)

Guys this is now the tengu fit thread everyone get your tengu fits. This guy asked about rigs he clearly needs a whole fit and lots of them. -

When rigs first came out, there was only one size of rig. When small, medium and large size rigs were added, all the pre-existing rigs were converted into large rigs. This meant that all small and medium ships with pre-existing rigs were now fitted with large rigs.
You want to use medium rigs. The fit you're looking at probably had the one-size-fits- all old style rigs that were converted into "large" rigs. It also means that the fit you're looking at is very old and might be out of date.

This is rather rude, frankly. The OP had mentioned using CCC's for a ship that generally doesn't need them. Even Tippia agreed. Nicolai expanded on this and put together a rather detailed and actually quite helpful guide to affordably fitting Tengus, then you spit in his face.
If you don't want to read it, you certainly don't have to -- but you could at least have some level of courtesy for those still trying to be helpful.

In the case of T3s, it's almost certainly out of date. There were only about four months when T3s existed and rig sizes didn't, and there were some absolutely horrible fits at the outset before people really got familiar with the subsystems.
Chances are good you want to look at more modern Tengu fits and see what current thinking is on which rigs and why (like, for instance, earlier in this thread).
