Alright I just started getting into production and invention.
Now what I want to know is where to get decryptor's. I have only seen one in contracts. I would rather get them myself if its not a huge deal.
So any advice would be great. Thanks.

Contracts? i think you mean normal market.
They drop off sites you find with exploration. In general its better to let others do that and just buy them, since you cant garantee that the one you want will drop for you that day/week/month.

Confirming what Linda just said. Exploration is extremely hit-and-miss and it's unlikely you'll get what you need in reliable quantities anyway. It's best to just buy them directly from the regular market.

2nding Linda and Akita.
Exploraiton takes quite some time, and there's no guarantees for it. I do it a lot myself, but I sell the decryptors, as I don't use them in my own inventions( not profitable for the items I make ). The amount of decryptors I find is nowhere near enough for a single dedicated Tech 2 manufacturer though. market is your best bet.

Not to mention racial differences. Let's say you're in gallente and want to do minmatar inventions. Just to get minmatar decryptors, fly over to minmatar space? Hardly worth the effort. |

Just get them off the market. Chances are you're not gonna be able to supply your invention demand by trying to acquire all that you need yourself - i.e. you'll lose money while your lab slots are waiting for the decryptors.
In any case - whether you buy them or acquire them personally, you need to calculate their cost in the total cost of the production afterwards. Stuff you acquire is worth ISK - if you have used it for manufacturing you've lost it's value in ISK, because you could have sold it to the market otherwise. It's the same with mining the minerals and getting the datacores - it's not for free, doesn't matter how you get it.
