That was a very good ide i must say! I Have no problems dying in pvp (acturly the only thing im good at) but it sucks if ctd when hunting npc or doing missions. So it woud be very nice if the game coud pvp flag you when attacked and it woud add some more time before your ships warps away if you logg.¿

*if* 'warp scrambled by player' = true *then* 'ship disappear timer' = disabled
it's that simple. -- jamesw Rubra Libertas Militia

*if* 'warp scrambled by player' = true *AND* net connection drops *then* 'you lose your ship because of factors outside your influence'. Ssssso.... log-off tactics are as lame as the solutions thought up here. Flame away boys and girls.

It's already doing that, but there are (or used to be, maybe they fixed it) ways to avoid that timer extension in some cases. And even with the extension, the timer is too short.

If someone logs off while scrambled, you win. Simple.
What is it with the need to have the victim lose his/her ship before you feel you've defeated someone in combat?
Sure, it's lame to log off, but there are more important things to get upset about than whether or not you 'wtfpwned' someone's virtual assets.
Besides, I think it's fundamentally wrong to make a player suffer penalties for logging off in a situation which they didn't choose to be in. I suppose you could argue that a player in < .5 sec chose to run the risk to get scrambled, but I like to think of combat in Eve as a game of chess; If my opponent decides to wipe all the pieces off the board, so be it. I win, they lose.
In short; get over it and move on.
My 2cts on the issue. ---

These tactics do clearly just plain suck, no 2 ways about it. *signed (sorry no time to get into finer points.. it is just cheating, if there are issues which need to be addressed that ppl use to justify log tactics, log tactics are still not the way to deal.. if it involves something out of game, like a reset button, it is not playing fair)
