i got a question about the interdiction nullifier subsystem for T3 cruisers. The description says that it "provides immunity to non-targeted interdiction". What does this mean in practice? Let's say i fly a T3 cruiser with said subsystem installed and i get caught inside an interdiction sphere while i've got one warp-core stabilizer installed and a hostile pilot hits me with one warp disruptor. What happens ?
A) The interdiction sphere puts me to -1 warpstrength, which is ignored by my ship due to the subsystem, but the incoming warp disruptor puts me to -2, is not ignored and i cannot warp off
or
B) The interdiction sphere doesn't reduce my warp strength at all because of the installed subsystem, leaving me at +1 warpstrength and i can still warp off because the additional warp disrupter only puts me to a warp strength of 0
?

Basically if you are in a bubble of any kind (interdictor bubble or anchored bubble) it will not affect you. You can warp while inside the bubble.
You can be scrambled down by conventional scramblers fitted on ships. To escape these enter warp en cloak immediatly so they don't have time to lock you.

I haven't tested yet... but do "drag bubbles" even pull you out of warp differently (as any other ship) when you're in a T3 with nullifier subsystem, or do you warp in as if there was no bubble at all ? _

When fitting the nullifier bubbles simply don't exist.

I must ask again - have you ACTUALLY tested that, or is that what you think SHOULD happen ? I know I would expect to see drag bubbles have no effect at all, but that doesn't mean CCP actually coded it like that.
Heck, there was a pretty long-standing bug (finally fixed a while ago) where bubbles didn't prevent you from warping, but they interrupted a warp in process, so you had to restart the warp process to actually warp off whenever a new bubble was triggered with you in range. _

Akita - I have ran thru many bubbles (drag & mobile) & with the nullifer subsystem on, the bubbles have no effect on your T3 ship whatsoever.

Confirmed. I've "tested" this regularly, and most recently tested it as I went to pick-up another Covetor BPO about 1.5 weeks ago.
There were an unusual number of drag bubbles about in FD-MLJ, and a HIC saw the gate flash and activated his bubble while I waved to him in my re-view mirror.

He's correct. Nullified T3s completely ignore bubbles, including drag bubbles.

I have tested that, and barring something getting broken in the yesterdays patch, bubbles have no effect on you if you fit an interdiction nullifier.
There used to be two bugs connected with this, both were fixed. One was that a bubble dropped would stop you from initiating warp, other was that a bubble dropped as a drag bubble while you were initiating warp would sometimes drag you.
None of this happens anymore, as far as I can tell. _______________________ The best thing in EvE is Barrage M. |

I fly a tengu all the time, doesn't matter if it's a bubble from GOD himself it doesn't affect you. You the IN sub installed as posted previously bubbles just don't exist for you.

Good to hear.
Quote: bubbles (drag & mobile)
EDIT:
Just to be clear, when I say "drag bubble", I mean the placement, like this:
(-----x-----)--------------X-------x-----------------------[...]----x ^--bubble---^--------------^gate---^desired warp-in point--[...]----^where you warp in from
and NOT a different bubble type. A "drag bubble" can have as a source either a mobile emitter, a interdictor probe or a HIC - it's the placement, not the type.
Normal ships trying to warp where they want end up on the edge of the bubble instead of where they wanted.
You know, just to be sure we're 100% on the same page.
They KNOW what drag bubbles are. They just don't have an effect. That's all you have to know. --- Drykor - AHARM |
