Anyone notice the ongoing manipulation attempt for CN cruise missile launchers? Looks like someone bought out all the launchers and listed a MASSIVE number of these for sale for 70+ mil on contracts (normal price is around 45 mil apiece).
Would be interested to hear opinions on whether this can be profitable given the higher cost of selling through contracts and also on how long it will take for the contract market to react and bring the price back down.
Are contract manipulation generally more effective than regular market manipulation because of the lack of historical data ingame?

I guess it's no big secret...
Two weeks ago I wanted some Caldari Navy Ballistic Control Systems off the same mentioned contracts however the price was around 96+ each. One day before that they were at 84,5 and today as I see it they are at ~92 ish.
Anyway, I kinda got angry cuz I had to pay more because a jackass like this did this to me so now when I managed to acquire some funds, I bought the first CN item that came to my mind (and it was not the BCS) - which is the Launcher.
I don't really care if I will make a profit or not I just wanted to be a hater and hate like I got hated upon. But at the way things are going at the moment the profit will be decent unless someone floods the market. But then hey... maybe I have the capital to buy those too.
Current state of the forums:
Making capsuleers slightly angry since 2003.

In a nutshell, yes. Expanded answer, yes.

Tag prices have been increasing dramatically.
Using jita prices from yesterday, if you sold the CN Cruise Launchers from a 5 run BPC for 45M then you're looking at: * tag buy price: ~535 lp/isk conversion rate * tag avg price: ~390 lp/isk * tag sell price: ~240 lp/isk
At 70M per launcher: * tag buy price: ~1925 lp/isk conversion rate * tag avg price: ~1775 lp/isk * tag sell price: ~1630 lp/isk
45M for a CN launcher is way under priced nowadays.
edit: For CN BCUs, a 92M price translates to ~1300 lp/isk using average tag prices from yesterday.

I'll let you decide what, if anything, I'm implying.
