We are a PvE corp founded in July 2011 to help new players running missions in high-sec. Most of our players have just finished the Sisters of Eve arc, which tells you how new to the game they are.
We have been war-decced by three small 2007 griefer corps looking for some easy noob kills. I am assuming these guys lack the skill to tackle real targets. However most of us being new missionrunners we are sitting in station, with the exception of those who do not understand the game well enough to know what is happening and undock to be destroyed.
We are welcoming any and all assistance, e.g. from any anti-pirate corps out there!
Please convo or evemail me in-game, thanks!

Welcome to EVE. Unfortunately, there are some wimps who will find new players and war dec. them. It tells a lot about who you are dealing with. It is best to avoid them - they only attack easy targets they can handle.
1) move out of the corp till the war dec is over - that will **** them off. 2) don't give them easy targets - let them be bored to death and they will go away. 3) Play your game - not there game....enjoy EvE, its awesome!

If Delirious Grib is your main that is only 60 days old today who founded this PVE Corp, that was a mistake.
PVE Corps are always going to be found and War Dec-ed. The only hope is if some of the members have been around awhile, and have some massive PVP or Nullsec/WH experience.
The PVE corp should certainly go about that kind of business, and run Missions together, Mining Ops, whatever. But IT MUST BE FORMED WITH THE INTENT TO COMBAT TRAIN, and have everyone ready for that AND FINANCIALLY able to handle ship replacement during War Dec.
There is nothing wrong here at all and the game is 'working as intended'. You guys just jumped the gun and created a noob Corp of ALL noobs LEAD BY noobs apparently.
All I can say is Good Luck, and next time wait till you are ready to form a Corporation before doing so. It MUST be Combat Ready or you will not survive.
Right now, my Main's Corp is under a 1-Man Nuisance Dec. Idiot signs on to pay the Dec fee every week and that's it. I almost popped him in his UNCLOAKED Anathema (?) on the first day and he has been in hiding ever since but still paying the dec fees. Fine with me. He's stuck himself in low sec at the end of a chain of 2-gate systems that we have camped-out so he is stuck for sure. IDIOT.
I only mention the above since that is another possible scenario you can run into...."The Useless Dec" with NO action.....which is even worse when you DO want to take them on, and they turn into a Pillow Princess and just lay there.........sigh. **************************

Main character is a little older in a pvp corp, the CEO of this corp is an alt. I can run pvp fleets but it's a lot harder when members are new and/or don't follow instructions - it's always hard to get a new corp off the ground, unless as you say it has pvp support.
What I probably should have done is found a pvp corp first! Then found a pve corp as I'd like :)

Welp, it's just a really really bad TIME to form a PVE corp, what with the 0.0 Changes (nerfs, whatever), they are hanging out 'up' here now, and this is just going to be the name of the game for awhile, if not permanently as Incarna and subsequent patches seems to be the Proverbial Straw. It'll be like this till the game dies out over the next few years unless..................
IF IF IF the November Expansion MIRACULOUSLY and UNLIKELY redeems the game, some normalcy may return.
But right now my Modules and the Overview are BORKED and the game is unplayable, so I'm forum hanging for something to do. That's sad.
But in general, it is a useless futile act to form a High Sec Corp at THIS time.

Newbies in rifters would just get torn apart by the enemy. It's not like they have much - bs, faction frig, T2 frig, and outside-corp basilisk to RR. But it's enough to beat off our few frigs with a single bs, even with me outside corp on RR!

some ideas:
Thrasher - artillery fit sniper Caracal - light missiles, anti-frig Blackbird - invaluable ECM Punisher/Rifter - classics Crucifier - Tracking Disruption Rupture/Stabber - dps Maller - heavy tank, bait Arbitrator - TD, Nos/Neut, drone-boat Osprey/Exequror - often underestimated
Your main problem is probably numbers (and neutral RR), imo you will need at least 4-5 and better 5-10 pilots to make frig/cruiser gangs really effective against larger ships. Don't play station games, have the station scouted to prevent getting alpha'ed after undock. Make sure everyone in your corp has insta bookmarks and is educated about session and aggression timers. Try to get them to engage in deadspace or at gates, bring heavy ewar and have patience.
Consider moving into some sparsely populated low-sec pocket for a bit. Gets rid off the remote RR issue, much cleaner local - no scout alts in NPC corps hidden amongst hundreds of other players, is a great learning experience for the corp, a Punisher or Rifter can kill battleship rats solo if necessary (and ratting as a group with 2-3 frigates can actually be fun for newer players), agent payouts are huge compared to high-sec and your enemies might be too scared to follow you.

Read the Eve Uni wartime sop on their wiki.
Its not the most fun way to fight, but it is brutally efficient and dealing with griefer corps.
As for people not listening, read the part about how they deal with people who don't do that.
New players can be effective in pvp but do require a few veterans to lead and rookies to listen and do exactly as they are told.

only see 1 dec, and it probly happened because of your corps name (they previously decced blue energy, now yellow energy)
you have noobs flying industrials during wardec, you have noobs flying T1 fitted Vindicators in lowsec, even I would dec you.
Current dec flies frigs, occasional cynabal/vaga and vindi that doesnt move from undock. Nothing 10 drakes(mwd, not noob fitted stationary all tank drakes) couldnt handle.

You should see if Ad0pt will let you join their alliance for a bit, the dec will be transferred to them, and that is always hilarious.

Assuming that you guys are a PvE corp , means that you have a decent source of iskies. Hire a merc group to deal with it if you dont wanna get your hands dirty.

Let me guess. Your corp is based within 5 jumps of a trade hub. Next time, set up in a quiet, out of the way place. There are plenty out there with good agents, good mining and less competition. You will get far fewer war decs, can flippers, idiots in local, etc.

Since it is no longer an exploit you can try this also.
Make an alliance. Wardec that alliance with a couple of corps ran by your alts. The cost to dec you for fun is now 150 million. Change your tax rate to pay for this as it will cost you to maintain this protection. EVE University are currently using self decs before someone claims it is still an exploit.

Simple solution, can't believe I'm telling you this:
Set up a corp, called "Alliance Alt Corp" have your scurred noobs, l33t miners and uber rich mission runners move into that corp for the duration of the war... increase the tax rate of alt corp to 50% and charge miners isk per month.
The extra isk you make in alt corp goes for either Merc hiring or ship replacement program for those who actually wanna play the game. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "You got LUCKY, luck is when opportunity and preparation meet." |
