from eve news 24
we had published a piece which exposed a bit of light on the case of ôElusifö, a GoonSwarm Federation pilot who was expelled from the Deklein Coalition allegedly on the grounds of selling a Titan to Pandemic Legion for USD $900, today we got a bit more of feedback, an ex-GSF player identifying itself with the name Ordo, came forward and gave us the following scoop:
You asked who elusif is, the real answer is that he is elusif. Elusif is his goonfleet dot com/GF jabber name, at one point he had a character called elusif but itÆs probably banned. Before he was banned he was among the biggest botting/RMT figures in GSF, heÆd sell isk for between 20-25USD/bil (very cheap), so a lot of people in GSF would buy isk from him to buy plex for subs or just for extra. He was also well known/liked for a few antics. During the fall of fountain when IT was doing **** all he SBUÆd all of delve with his own bot isk, which apparently was a major blow to IT. HeÆs also given away supercarriers to some GSF players at no cost as sort of an advertisement for how much money he can get and move.
Elusif used to be the biggest standard RMT guy, heÆs tussled with GM nova a few times and thatÆs why he has no permanent character name. Whenever he got his first temp ban for botting on a char heÆd sell it on eve-o or inside the alliance and get a new tengu char, this has kept his botfarm up and running for the past 2 years. He only sells isk inside the alliance, as CCP doesnÆt track large amounts of isk (5bil+) going around in an alliance because this happens all the time for supers, moons, etc.
RMT is a pretty big deal in GSF, botting is massively wide spread (I know a lot of the directors bot, Vile Rat used to before he was put on the CSM) and some engage in minor RMT (ie: I want this steam game, it costs 50USD, IÆll give you 2.5bil to gift it to me). Not all of the RMT isk was botted though, a lot of it was simply really rich players (100bil+ of wealth) from the botched introduction of PI.
As of the time I left GSF the botting policy was this: Botting is against the rules of CCP, not GSF. Reporting goons to CCP is ****ing goons, so if you report a goon bot or say you do youÆre kicked. Bots provide a fairly major chunk of the ôrattingö taxes GSF earns, so it makes sense that they donÆt want this **** getting messed with.
/Ordo
pretty shocking if its true
worse if cpp knows and choses to ignore the major alliances use of bots
