Long story short: been hunting Sansha's for months now, megapulse 4tw and all all that. Fast forward to combat with Angels and my pulses are barely scratching Warlords. Guess I got spoiled.
My question is has anyone fitted an Apoc up with L projectiles and had better luck against Angels than with megapulse? If so, what guns (1200 artillery, 800 autocannon, dual 425s?)
I figure that the Apoc's only weapon-specific benefit (10%/lvl laser cap usage) is negated by projectiles' already-low consumption.
Ship setups and other suggestions are very much welcome.

ya better change ships imho cuz proj guns don't fair too well in a ship that doesn't have bonuses for them.

You are right in theorie. But since, as stated in the other reply, all ships have bonuses for their preferd weapon types you will notice that an Apoc with Projectiles, Blaters or Rails will be far less effective as it's racial counter parts simply because of the missing bonuses.

long long time ago everybody used 1400mm guns...
soon amarrs will use em again...
and ravens will still be doing mess with torps

Long long time ago I used to have two 1400's on my Raven before the missile nerf/fix thing.

You're right.
People used to put 8 1400mm guns on Apocs a while back.
And, you can actually fit 8x1400mm 2's if you fill some of your low slots with power diagnostics or RCUs. Problem is, you'll have CPU problems if you try to fit some defense. But it's a sniper setup anyway, and if you can live with the limitations inherent in a sniper setup, its probably a pretty good one.
2 extra guns is an extra 25% firepower over a Tempest with 6 guns. You can't quite equal the Tempest's +25% ROF and +25% damage with just 2 extra guns, but you can come reasonbaly close (assuming Minmatar battleship level 5).

just keep your lasers, but use 2 siege with bane torpedos, and some berserkers to help finish off the seraphims. What I did is have an alt with a breacher to warp in and web the seraphim and shoot piranhas at it to greatly increase the time it took to kill them.
edit: I mean decrese teh time to kill, also that alt picked up loot for me too.

Sansha's are Mintar Rats right?
the reason Proj might work better for them is simply the Damage resistences, Lazars are all EM and Thermal, and guess what thats what mintar defend against, so Running Proj might work out better inthis one instance simply due to the different dammage types

heya you can like hunt sanshas with beam what about them? try em and fit one crusie launcher for frigs and if you atrack angles be sure to wear every kinde of dmg hardener then are the hardest rats in eve

But seriously, thanks for the feedback - gonna give the Raven a try before 'Phoon/Tempest seeing as I've already got one gathering dust off in the corner, but wouldn't mind giving Minnie ships a look eventually - provided the Emperor's secret police ain't looking...
