I'm returning from a 15 month break from eve and looking for some advice on amarr ships. I am currently trained to fly gallente and caldari (to an extent). With the upcoming missile nerf, I decided why not cross train over to amarr- I've always wanted to fly an archon
Anyways, I know nothing about amarr ships and fittings. My end goal is an archon in WH space running c5/6s. My drone skills are quite solid. In the meantime, what are some solid BS fits for amarr in WH space? Both fleet fits and solo shots. From poking about it seems like the harbinger is also a good choice for WH ops.
My corp shares have left me with a bit of cash on hand, but I'm quite rusty and don't have a lot of WH experience. So toss some pimped fits up and ill downgrade em ^^ (don't fly what you can't afford to lose, eh?). I'm aiming for a 500-600 mil fit, including hull. A little cheaper would be nice too, and then maybe suggested upgrades to pimp it out down the road

The harb is going to be useful up to C2s as with all of the BC ships. From there you probably have to go either T3 cruiser or friends. Just join a noob friendly corp a fly what they fly, it's going to save you a lot of isk learning from your mistakes.
Edit: Jumping in a carrier without previous WH pve and pvp knowledge will be a very fast way to lose the carrier. Really, I mean it, don't even think about those at this point. |

1 your drone skills don't matter in a carrier, If you are in an archon you will be providing logistics to who ever you are flying with NOT DPS you have dreads for that or the ships you are going to be keeping alive.
2. 500-600m for a wormhole fit will not get you higher then a c3, your best bet would be join an active wormhole alliance or corporation willing to accept new members and just work it up from there.
Anyhow if you could be more specific about what class I could help you out further.

@sword- long term goal, 6 months down the road at a minimum. Just because I have the isk to lose doesn't mean I want to lose it haha ;)
@lanyaie- ill be flying amarr long before a carrier. Figure it gives a nice class of ships for armor tanking, insta pop, and drones- 2 of 3 things I'm decently spec'd as currently. The 500-600 mil is just so I don't lose everything in one go. I've got a few billion isk to play around with, but I'd like to minimize losses early on. Figure pimped out 2 billion tengu or Loki isn't the way to start my WH adventures. Even with an RR gang, 500 mil too low to aim for a decent fit? |

with a RR gang that would be enough hell you can fit out a harby for less then 150m and still solo sites in c3's and below with it

I'm doubtful a Harby could cope with C3 sites without needing a lot of warp outs.
A legion will do fine though. |

You can try an armageddon or apocalypse I wouldn't recommend the abby tho I just dont like it
Edit: Tbh a battleship isn't that good for wh c3's either since it suffers from a lot of tracking stuff

If you want to get your start in C3s and move up to an Archon, learn to Guardian and make some friends. You won't be going solo in a C5 or C6, so don't wait until then to be less lonely. The Guardian will stand you in good stead for both PvE and PvP as a start, and you should lrn2logi before you sit in an Archon anyway. |

I think he wants to avoid using heavy missiles just like i am. I would also like a few tips (possibly fits) on how to fit an Amarr (maybe Gallente) ship to do c3 sites either solo or with another mate. I did ask my corp and they only have experience flying tengu/drake so they couldn't really give me an advice. |

No, we are living in a C3 right now. And I specifically said the 4 Anoms. (Fortification Frontier Stronghold, Outpost Frontier Stronghold, Solar Cell, Oruze).
The only triple upholder spawn is a Mag site. And nobody generally solo's that. Even when I dual box Tengu's on it I have to warp out until I knock down one upholder. |

best tip i can give you
find a corp or alliance that have experience and learn. wh's arent made to be done solo. sure they can, but you miss out on the best of the game.
and its not really efficient either |

Sacrilege is a HAM boat, it doesn't have bonuses for heavy missiles anyways. AFAIK they won't be touched anytime soon. |

my WH experience was brief (intend on going back but the corp i was in at the time folded), but both the Zealot and the Legion were the ships I flew in there on C3's. Did great with them. |

Sacrilege uses HAMs not HMLs and as far as i know those wont be nerfed.
It has very decent DPS and its considerably cheaper than Legion. Definitely a good choice for C3 and below |
