stated in many older posts already, the numbers are much LOWER.

again, calculated and confirmed yield of a deep core miner2:
base x mining skill x astrogeology skill x mining crystal bonus

without xtal and with maxxed out skill this gives:
120 x 1.25 x 1.25 = 187.5 - go check yourself

with tech1 xtal it is:
120 x 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.62 = 303.75 - my miner says exactly the same when i do "show info"

which simply means, the formula is correct...

so as the base formula for strip miners is:
base x mining x astrogeology x barge level, which is:
540 x 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.15 = 970.3125, which then means this formula is also correct as that is what you get from it.

combine them and you get:
360 x 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.15 x 1.62 = 1047.xx for tech1, and
360 x 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.15 x 1.75 = 1132.xx for tech2

anyway, all calculations and confirmations in the game showed the same result:
mdcm2+tech1 = 8% more yield than a miner2 over time
mdcm2+tech2 = 16% more yield than a miner2 over time

strip2+tech1 = 8% more yield than a strip 1 over time
strip2+tech2 = 16% more yield than a strip 1 over time

and both miners without any xtal only give you 66% of the yield of the comparable tech1 miners.

I have no idea where people get the other numbers from as this is based on a rather simple formula and can be confirmed ingame, too.

of course you get minor rounding errors as not all mining cycles give exactly the same amount of ore... it varies by a few m3 occasionally, but the amount is too small to be really noticable over a longer period.
