I see that most people prefer an Archon for triage in WH. Why is the Archon superior to other carriers for this use?

Tank and check the bonuses given by the carrier iteself, also depending on the type of WH, sometimes shield are better |

Most people favor armor for pvp (outside of Pulsars) and the Archon has range bonuses, resist bonuses, plus the cap/fitting to run 3 reppers. It's optimal in all categories for armor triage. |

The other carriers including the chimera require a fair amount of pimp to be able to fit them anything like the capabilities of a T2 fit triage archon. |

Resist bonus and cap bonus rather than a shield transporter bonus.
Unless your in a Pulsar, then get a Chimera since its basicly the Archon with shields rather than armor.

Mostly the cap bonus. Escalation waves neut like crazy and Bhaalgorns are very popular in PvP. Being able to transfer cap is handy. |

The archon has a tanking bonus to improve survive-ability (only need to fit one faction/deadspace enam to compare to fitting two on the thanatos/nidhoggur for same resists)
Has a cap transfer range bonus which you make make them into giant pantheon guardians.
Have no problems fitting for tank unlike the Nidhoggur (which fails can't tank the same tank that it RRs) and the Chimera (needs pimp to even fit).
Lots of lowslots that you can put Capacitor Power relays on and has no affect on tank compared to shield. (relays > rechargers: 24% vs 20%)
Last but not least it has the largest capacitor size of all the carriers, making it the hardest carrier to neut out.
In all this makes the Archon the best triage carrier.

This, however Nidgoggur has been fairly decentish since it got a sizeable boost in Crucible. I'd definitely prefer Nidhoggur over Chimera. It just needs a much more expensive fit than the Archon and has no bonuses for cap transfers, but you can easily fit it for both shield and armor fleets, or even 2 reppers for both at the same time. |

nids are only preferred for repping pos mods, for everything else chim/archon |
