If I'm not mistaken, the Navy Apoc is the exact same as a standard Apoc, except with 8 low slots instead of 7, and more HP across the board. Same resists, same CPU, same powergrid, same weapon setup... So I say fit it exactly like you would an Apoc, and fill that 8th low slot with whatever you can fit and have a use for.

I know exactly how I'm gonna fit my Amarr Navy Apoc when I get it:
Highs: Tachyons! Lots of goddamn tachyons! Mids: 4x Cap Recharger II Lows: 2x reps (one large, one medium faction?), 3 hardeners, 3 power diag IIs
The power diags not only help the cap, but should provide enough extra grid to shoehorn an extra tachyon on.

Be a heavy tanker like me . Hell, you don't want to fly a 1bil+ ship that can't tank a shed load of hostiles..
Highs Whatever you want or can fit
Mids 4x Cap Recharger II's
Lows 2x True Sansha\Amarr Navy Large Armor Reps 5x Faction 55% Armor Hardeners (1 Every Type + An Extra Therm\Exp) 1x True Sansha Cap Relay
If you're confident on your cap (BS lvl5?), you could try 6 hardeners. Or 3 large reps (4tw), 3 hardeners and 2 cap relays. Personally, I'd do the 3 large reps, just because it's so ******* cool (2,400 rep per cycle without skills). I'd like my attackers to have to put in a bit of effort to kill a ship like that .

You ARE gonna be targetted first in a battle, so you can just soak up the damage with this setup.

The same as any apoc, but just with 1 more cap relay in the low. =)
4x heavy neut. cap recharger II's 1x 20km warscram (or 30km if your insanely rich) 1x large armor rep 3x hardeners rest cap relays
remaining powergrid use it for tachs, suck enemy dry and kill em off with drones and the tachs. Stolen from dalman __________________________

That is SO bad - 1 large rep? It appears that you seem to think he'll be fighting 1v1 in this thing. Good luck getting 1 person to engage an Amarr Apoc. Either tank this thing to hell and back or don't use it at all .

What depresses me is the amount of people posting setups here which require 4 x mid slot tech II rechargers...
You dont need them! Use your mid slots for more useful things like sensor boosters, tracking computers or mid slot eccm...
1 large cap injector with 12 x 800 (4 loaded and 8 in cargo bay) booster provides more than enough cap for 99.9% of engagements. I have NEVER EVER ran out of cap using this setup (even when being drained) running all guns + 2 accomodated repppers) and I do a lot of Apoc fighting...
Dont waste mid slots for cap recharge when you can use them for doing more damage, staying unjammed, locking faster or countering sensor dampeners ;-)

Most people seem to focus on the 'dont die' part of the setup, and just stuff whatever they can in the highslots...Fairly stupid imho.
But then again, using something to counter jamming / dampening is useless aswell imho. You aint gonna counter 1 damp with 1 sensor booster(Let alone the 6 most Scorps will run). Neither will you counter jamming with a single medslot. Nor with two for that matter. If you ARE using midslots for that, might aswell use a Sensor Dampener of your own.
To be honest, these setups can be fitted to two categories: 1) The NPCing fit. AKA tank till you drop. 2) The 1v1 fit. As in neuts / nosf.
Neither would seem good on a Navy Apoc, as you're never going to get someone to 1v1 you. I wont even comment on the NPCing part...
Its hard to get a proper fit on it that doesnt just implies your 'regular' Apoc setup with an additional hardner / damage mod. Ill only give the setup i would use for fleet, as that's what im involved in most:
High: 8 * Mega Beam II Med: 2 * Sensor Booster II 2 * Tracking Comp II Low: 4 * Heat Sink II 3 * Tracking Enhancer 1 * Officer RCU (Draclira / Chelm)
You NEED the Officer RCU, a TechII or Commander doesnt cut it.

From this point of view.. should you take it to a battle.. Bring small fleet of them to battle is my best bet .. would really stun the enemy. Unable to deside wich one to engage first :) - Offcourse we all know how likely you get a fleet of them to battle.

I would think that when it comes to a fleet battle you would be a hot target..
Thus the cannon fodder loadout...
Lows 5x hardeners(best you can find).1em 2therm 1kin 1exp 3x lrg armor reppers(best you can find)
mids 3x cap rechargers(best you can find) 1x lrg cap injector(best..)
highs 2x seige 4x hvy nos 2x dual hvy pulse or even Hvy pulse (med weapon)
Kill frigs and try to stay alive...
