I actually enjoy the game, but i also see its flaws which are what all are saying: lack of content.
I am playing cause i haven't reached yet the top (which is now a BS) and cause i am waiting the station/guns for players to build. CCP promised them and i wait for them (even if i didn't like their lies on them beeing in the game when it was false).
I do believe like many that EVE isn't growing but is now constant in player base or even decreasing. and this is bad for a game which is 1 month young.
I played beta like many others. and honestly, i fail to imagine this game in the current state surviving 6 months.
CCP should introduce GAMEPLAY, stations, guns, and other modules to give players the chance to control space, to expand.
My main concern is that CCP doesn't seem willin to add gameplay but just to make harder, patch after patch, to reach the "top".
I like challenges, and i am not between the guys who wonna build a ship in 1 day and go fighting.
But a game can't survive only cause the "top" is far. you must also make the time you spend to get to the top fun, various.
EVE has lot of potential. With some additions (already promised), we would have territorial wars, controlling regions, wars on borders.
I hope CCP push towards pvp and towards fun and strategy rather than keeping the game as it is and simply making it harder to keep people busy. Cause people can be kept busy for 3-4 months waiting for new stuff or to get strong, but after they quit.
The other thing which needs improvement is pvp combat: i am not a pirate but sincerely i find without sense the penalties on podding (while it's the sole way to cause a damage to a player) in legit wars or in 0.0 systems.
Combat, before last patch, had 2 problems:
1) duration of fight which is too fast (hopefully fixed in last patch)
2) too easy to escape.
I hope CCP remembers the 2nd part too. cause if it was already hard to kill a player before they simply warp (or mwd) out, now it's almost impossible.
well, enough said. i keep playing for now, and hoping in CCP.
But many players are already bored, and i say that for my ingame talks, not for the troll post here.
and in a game which has less than 2 months, it is damned wrong.
