I finaly had a decent agent offer. My agent is lvl3 with effective quality of 31. I had 21000 lp's. (ish)
The offer (didnt think to copy it sorry) 25,000 Units of High-Tech Manufacturing Tools. Cost - 18000 lp's (ish)
Just selling these things at market price is worth 200mil however a kind chap told me about refining them, thats worth 885 Million at below average prices 
Nearly 1.9 mil nocx
3.5 mil iso
1.7 mil mex
I think those are right anyway! Time to work my refining skills to full

...Please don't take this the wrong way, Mac, since I'm happy that you got a good reward but... I think you are going to be contacted by the devs shortly.
Does anyone else remember the time, couple of months back now, when Zrakor descended on some guy llike an avenging angel for mentioning in this very forum that his Agent had offered him a few hundred million Isk in exchange for LP? I remember it well. The term 'exploit' got bandied about, and it all went very silly.
Hate to say it, since it seems like I'm being a party ****er, but I think your offer is bugged!

I hope it isnt a bug but It was a lot of work to get the lp's for the offer. I think I remember hearing somewhere that the agent checks the market before giving an offer (may be wrong) If thats right then the offer would not have been worth as much. Its only worth that much because I am refining them not selling them.
To get the ratings up and the effective quality up does reflect a few months of hard work here!

Erm thats ridiculous theres noway this could be an exploit,hes being offered high-tech items,not pure isk in exchange for pure LP.

That makes me feel a little better. If the other chap was offered just cash that may have been wrong. With this offer i had to use my +4 int implant a bit to work out what to do with the things to make the most cash.
I guess if i had been offered 25000 units of quafe which normalys sells really cheep but found an offer off my own back that made them really expencive cos someone wanted them that couldnt be an exploit either. (hope im making sence)

the devs may not contact him, but don't be surprised if the refined mins get reduced by a factor of 10 in an up coming patch (a la tech 2 components)

I've never tried refining t2 components. I'm glad to hear the yeld is so good, as I'm sure I still have quite sizable stock of this kind of stuff from before shiva somewhere.

t2 components doesn't recycle to minerals anymore. They do recycle to "advanced materials"

R.A.M. and R.Db still refine to minerals. And the refine value for the tools seems to be the same as for any R.Db. So if there is something wrong it is the quantity of tools you get from the offer. IIRC it used to be 625 units of high tech tools for 12500 LP so 25k tools for 18k LP seems a bit too much.

It's interesting that the tools refine, the other 'high-tech' items I've received from agents do not.(i.e. transmitters and such).
Good deal though, I suppose I will need to pay more attention to those offers in the future.

I got this same offer from my level 4 agent at Creodron. 18kish lp as well. Didn't know they refined. I sold them at a nice price though. Since my agent seems to have a tendency to give me the same offers I've been waiting for that one again. Hasn't happened though.

Well atm I get about 200 lp's per mission so it was still close to 90 missions I had to do. That to me is quite a bit of work!
I didnt know these things refined or the R.A.M items so I am definatly going to be more careful in the future

well I dont think its that many missions... with a qual 31 agent u get more like 200 for the very short lvl3 missions but easily 1k lp for the long ones...
900mil for 18K lp is utterly insane btw... lucky you

No, just the high tech manufacturing tools, which seem to be a sort of R.Db (even have the same icon).

Maybe so but it seemed like a long time
Im only getting that much because I am refining them and selling the mins. If I sold them on the market I wouldnt have got near that amount of isk! (closer to 200 mil)

High-tech manufacturing tools are bugged because you can refine them for insane amounts of minerals whereas other high-tech items don't refine (otherwise I would be reprocessing 25k high-tech scanners).
Obviously 18000lps shouldn't be worth 885 million.
Make the most of it while it lasts :-)

Neither should 18000 LP's be worth 200 million.
I get that many in ~10-12 missions. That'd be one sunday of hardcore mission running.

It's not the tools that are the problem, it's the offer. As I wrote you used to get 625 pieces for 12500 LP. That is 20 LP per high-tech tool. If the offer was realy for 25k pieces og high tech tools, you should have to give 500k LP to keep the same ratio. But if they changed the ammount on purpose, they must have missed the fact that you can refine them.

I'm pretty sure the quantities were changed deliberately to make implants more available by increasing the supply of high-tech.
However, the reprocessability of the manufacturing tools means their price is bound to stay high and the offer for 25k of them is a bit ridiculous.

No he wont, i got the same offer.... 18k LP for 25k high-tech manufacturing tools. i got 300mil + from selling mine at half the market price.
(i think its just a very very very rare offer!) and if it is a bug then maybe they should up the LP to say 25K LP and make it just abit rare.... otherwise.... KEEP IT AS IT IS (i like it lol)
