At least in WoW Cataclysm, the liberty to respec largely became the liberty of guilds to dictate your flavor-of-the-month spec based on their needs. Even outside of raid content, people get really snippy if you don't play flavor-of-the-month to min/max their ability to blitz dungeons. It's not something I miss. |

Daoc has 50 levels. Daoc does not limit you to 3 toons per account. Daoc does not let you train while logged off.
Also when daoc first came out you could not respec , Repsec stones where not brought in until a couple of years later, and this was not due to a single nerf/buff it was due to back then no one had a clue what the hell they where doing and some people had some weird specs.
Standard eve circle of life. Player gets told X is overpower and great so train for it , CCP nerfs X player cries and rages on the forums for a few weeks then goes and Trains the new over powered skill Y. Rinse repeat etc etc

i see ccp have balls to nerf stuff hard so am asking if ccp have balls also to give players a choice after applying new patch and open players assigned skill points in skills that will get affected by patch.
there u would see if players "realy" like yo ideas, so if they keep their SPs where they are it will be a sign of good work but if they will put em somewhere else u guys will have a nice prove of the quality of yo devs ideas.
for example winter patch and that drastic nerf of misiles, if i even knew at beginning that something like that will happen i would never train for misiles and i have there +9,3M sps and i think this what ccp is doing is nothing else but cheating on players and scumming em for cash!
i personaly think ccp is too scared and will find 1000s of excuses why not to open SPs and mostly it will be about cash coz after nerf something, ppl will have to train other stuff if they want to have same fun from this game = more needed time = more cash for ccp from GTCs and plexes
but if ccp start opening SPs after patches for some skills or for every skill for a week or two it would be awesome and more subs for ccp instead of regequits.
Lack of capitalization, lack of punctuation (for the most part) and a lack of noticeable intelligence... Yeah, no one cares what you're gripe is because no one can read it without rereading each sentence 4 times.
Also, you spelled Missiles, Really, and Personally wrong several times. They aren't that hard to spell, and if you think they are, spell check IS a thing.
Lastly; Posting in a troll thread. |

And here, we see the redactum monachus, or "-a- pilot" as they are more colloquially known, in its natural habitat. Having been driven into its den by apex predators, it now only ventures forth at night, to pick at scraps. It then returns to its den, where it gnashes feebly at its own shadows, perhaps perceiving them to be predators closing in on it, as it slowly loses its sanity. In a few months, there will be few of these left in the wild. They will retreat into hibernation or simply die off. Such is the fate of creatures unable to adapt to a changing environment. Mr Ratcliffe,
Then please go find a game like Dark Age of Camelot with lots of magic and a lack of meaningful choices or sense of acheivement etc with your skill set. Most people in this game appreciate the skill system, or they don't last long. Bye, and you won't be missed by anyone, including CCP, who can live without your own "inflexibility".
Ugh. Threads like this get shat onto general discussion regularly. Thank you Tippia for having the endless patience and desire to continue thoroughly posting the reasons for just how misguided this whole idea (or more poperly, childish wish) is. |

With your request made in such a reasonable and polite way I think CCP should consider implementing this as soon as never. To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |
