For the same reason Crokite isn't in all regions of 0.0, you get one or the other, not both.

Except Fountain, afaik.
Crokite is almost 50% more profitable than ark anyway... --------

In comparing Ark and Crok, I'm getting the following isk/m3 values, which would then be a very accurate reflection on thier profitability.
Ark: About 740 isk/m3 Crok: About 780 isk/m3
Seems Crok wins for the moment, but not significantly.
Was using fairly conservative mineral pricing of:
Trit3 Pyer8 Mex18 Iso90 Nocx380 Zyd4500 Mega4800 Morp27000

Thnx, was just wondering since everything else is supposed to be 'ballanced' why the diff in ore locations.
I suppose the loot drops are the same?

well you know what trit is still rising - guess if you want to lower the price youre going to need to flood market with a lot of one ore/mineral to make a difference - i guess depends on what the manufacturers want to make as to what mienrals will be in higher demand

Fountain mining is 50% more profitable and they do not share the same entrance with hostile super foes. It's like the devs gave them a frikin we win pass but all that makes boring game play. 0.o It's not you... no wait it is you. |

Note that Megacyte was originally supposed to be worth 4096, and Zydrine 1024 (NPC values), which explains the difference in profitability.

Something wrong there, my spread sheet disagrees. Will post something up later, not at home.
I think outer ring has it all also, just the ark/bist is about 15 jumps from a station.
The best mining area in EVE has 8 systems of crokite + NPC refinery in same system, in two constellations though...
Fountain comes second

Ark: 673 isk/m3 - 2.15M/Refine Bist: 719 isk/m3 - 2.3M/Refine Crok: 884 isk/m3 - 3.55M/Refine --------

Plagioclaise and omber is not common in amarr kernite and pyroxeres are not common in other areas
So you see the trend is not just in 0.0 space, it is also in empire space as well
I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century. |

think of realism like they said back in the day when they interviewed people at CCP
" We like realism"
take for example oil, if we had total balance of minerials etc in eve, then all that would be left to do is break out the flowers and guitars cuz its hippy time!
