I heard a rumor that rumor agents don't do anything. Anybody know any rumors about it?

Romur has it you are spreading rumors about rumors that could get people who tell rumos banned.
While infact telling rumors about rumors is rumored to be twice as bannable as normal rumors

Rumour has it that if you ask an agent if anything interesting has happened in the area lately, he may give you a BM to a weak spawn you can kill. Not a mission, just a one-off spawn. Except it does not work and the reply is always that nothing of interest has happened in the area.
But it would be nice if they commented on any recent pvp in the area. Sample text:
"Dude, you're never gonna believe this, right, a mate of mine was by this one gate, and this guy from [TICKER1] in a Thorax, TOTALLY wtfpwned whis other guy from [TICKER2], and he was in a Typhoon, so omg he's gonna be ****ed."
Well, I'm sure CCP can refine the idea and add some spelling mistakes.  But you get the drift.

I used to have a rumor agent that gave me a few bm's for pooey spawns. It was a few months agos so mabey CCP silenced then

i tried one once, a long time ago. She told me of a super secret 'fugitive hideout' in penirgman system. I wisely realized that avoiding rumours would be good for my immersion factor. |

The rumour agents are currently fighting a liable action resulting from one of the rumours they started.
Until the case is resolved they are under legal advice to stay "hush".

I reckon the "rumour" service should be a once a week usable mission spawner that's group related - no LP's given out, no rewards other than the rat bounties and loot. Maybe even storyline related.
Alternatively, a rumour service could give a small percentage chance of telling of a complex not normally on the scanners.

2-3 weeks ago i asked my lvl2 agent twice if hes heard any rumours and he gave me a BM each time that i have yet to check up on... |
