Just got accused of a login trap AGAIN last night. I don't know how prevalent actual login traps are, but the number of time'd we've been falsely accused of doing it leads me to believe they're fairly rare and most people are just really stupid.

Yeah that was pretty funny since the majority of the people traveled 6-8 jumps to get to the fight. I think why people scream log on exploit is cause they don't know what it actualy is, and its a good way for them to excuse there miss actions in battle.

sochin theres a reason why were alwayz accused of log on traps, and exploiting.... its because its impossible that we are good at what we do, so it must be that we just explo1t.

Logon tactics would be a bad idea anyway. Even discounting the fact that you have to account for both loadtimes and warp times when using the tactic, you give yourself away really easily.
I.E. map shows 32 ships in space one minute, then 4 the next and the blob just vanished.
Also, you have no idea what your position will be relative to the target when your warp is completed. As was pointed out, it's very easy to trap someone using login tactics by baiting them.
M8, you're getting advice from three of the most prominent PvP corps in space. Take it all in. "You Griefer!!!" = "You Doodyhead!!!" |

...best way to get CCP to listen, is to get most of the players to click the cancel button on their accounts. When the accountants see a mass QUIT of subs (large drop of incoming cash), they will be asking CCP devs why...and if they still ignore us, live with the savings of time and cash, and spend your rl money on another games subs...

remember, clicking that button doesn't delete the charactor or stop its skill training, it just stops CCP from taking your cash when you are not happy about the status of the games mechanics...you can always resub with the same account, and click that button again...

i personally dont have a problem with this. just becus the map and local tell u that x person\corp is online then u automatically assume ul fight becus the "odds" suit you.
local and map blobs are a luxury and should be done away with make everyone think twice b4 they warp anywhere...
on the other hand...
mebbie there shouldnt be that auto warp back to ur last posistion when u log on thingy that might give u a head start.... or delay ur warp for a minute if u log in space??
