Haven't run missions since Exodus came out, so I have no clue what to expect. Does anyone with decent (& successful) experience running L4 missions in a 'Poc care to share a setup please? Or at least give out a few pointers.
No PvP or NPC hunting setups please, that I've got sorted out already. Thanks in advance.

I use:
6x Mega Pulse, 2x Siege 4x Cap Rechargers 2x Large repairers, 3x Hardners, 2x CPR's
You can swap a cap recharger for a tracking mod or a cpr for a damage mod if you know that you will be able to tank the mission with 1 repairer. Also try and get named repairers cos that weill really help.

Yes, do that if you want to just spam torps for quick isk and be a sheep - but the apoc is just as good just takes slightly (maybe a tiny bit longer ) longer to kill the rats

Well ive been running lvl 4 missions in an apoc for awhile and tbh i get them done faster than i was with a raven.
High: 6 * Megapulse II 1 * Siege 1 * Arbalest Cruise
Med: 3 * Eutectic 1 * Lif AB
Low: 2 * L Accoms 3 * Hardeners depending on npc type 2 * Cap relays
Mix of heavy/med drones so you have as many as you can control (Ie 9 ... 4 heavies 5 med)
Normally takes me longer to pop the frigs/ceptors with cruise/torps than it does to kill the cruisers/bs with the pulse lasers. Warp in @60k and fire away... deadspace is more tricky though.

So finally, not very different from your standard NPC setup, right?
Anyway, thx a bunch for the (constructive) replies, much appreciated.

If you set up an apoc for PvP like that, please let me know, i'v always wanted to take an apoc down in a cyclone. |

this works very well... its also nice to have a dominix support ship along on some of the harder deadspaces... a domi that is using remote armor repairers, cap chargers, and nanofibers :D

Thx again for all the feedback.
Been running a pretty standard setup as was suggested and was able to solo all the mish thrown at me so far, deadspace or not.
It takes a while cuz I'm missioning for Brutor Tribe and thus have to deal mostly with Angels, which is far from being optimal in a laser boat, given the type of damage they tank and how they like to come in close and circle you :/.
So I'm thinking -blasphemy- about trying some 800mm on my 'poc. Or I might just go like Xziled said and rig some small or med t2 pulse on, see what gives.
But the standard setups DO work, it just might take a while at times.

also dont forget 9 drones or whatever, mix of heavys and mediums to sort out the frigs you dont get chance to torp.

4xMega Pulse 2xTachyon 2xSiege
3xCap II's 1xSensor Booster/Tracking Comp after the bloody Pulse nerf :(
2xLarge (I use 1xAccom & 1xCarapace) 3xHardeners 1xPDU II (Need grid) 1xCPR
4xHeavy & 5 Med drones
To run, youll need Eng V, and if your too busy training up Amarr BS, Elec IV, Weapon Upgrades IV, and an absolute fortune in named lasers, Malkuth siege, and named hardeners.
Even with Large laser IV taking down a Usurper takes me about 90 torps; i still cannot solo all lvl4 missions. The Tachyons while firing approx every 1 1/2 sec almost always hit for 1 1/2 times the damage of my Mega Pulse and frequently scale to hit for more.

So do you think that its better to run a mix of heavy and medium drones rather than six heavy?

Yes, lets post an opinion with absolutely no reasoning, what a great idea!

Kinsy, I think what he means - and I would agree - is never mix different large gun types. While you might be effective across ranges, you will never be optimal at one given range. I'd rather switch crystal and use an AB to adapt to the proper optimal range.
As for the sensor booster, it's probably a waste of a slot, lock time or distance is not very relevant in PvE. A tracking comp is slightly better to hit cruisers and frigs, or to boost the range of your guns if you have to deal with long distance damage dealers, but I'd still rather go with an AB or a webber.
I understand you fight mostly Guristas, where long range damage might be an issue. Maybe you should try 6 mega beams? I used to NPC Guristas a fair bit, and generally went with 8 pulse, and used medium drones to get rid of frigs, but that might prove a bit dangerous in missions where you get more cruisers/frigs. Also you should seriously consider using an AB. It doesn't have any cap cost, and can be run on auto fairly easily, enabling you to catch up to distance targets (in your case, Usurpers or Conq's).
As for your tank, nothing to complain about, it's pretty standard.

When i warp in i have Radio in the Pulse and UV in the Tachs.
At 40km i swop to Infra for the Pulse and Gamma for the Tachs.
At 30km i swop to UV for the Pulse and MF for the Tachs.
At 20km and below I put Gamma in the Pulse or if enough things are dead and i can switch off a repairer ill load them with MF too.
Large guns cant hit fast moving frigates, limiting my close range fast target weapons to the 2x siege and drones. Because of this, i fit the sensor booster. 20s to lock up a warp scrambling, webifiying frigate in a hellspawn is just too long, when in those 20s i can have 4 torps in the air which is enough to take down one Webifier. The other problem is after fitting everything but the booster i have 8.8 Cpu left - just enough to fit a Prototype I booster.
Changing my lasers to Beam requires 27000 PG (w/PDU II = 25593) and 614 cpu. The only advantage to this is range (not necessary) and falloff (not necessary), with the clear disadvantage of half the tracking. Ok, i can fit higher damage crystals below 40km and i have a couple of Modulateds to try out in anticipation of the Pulse laser nerf which will make the cpu problem go away.
For me and my skill levels, my setup works.
