Not really sure what you are asking here, but the answer is probably "you can't".

To begin with the only skills that are really important are the ones that affect how many orders you can have: Trade, Retail and Wholesale, and Margin Trading, which affects how much money you have to put up for a buy order. You can pretty much ignore the rest for the first couple of months.

NPC prices have default values that change for the worse when players Buy/Sell and then drift back over a few days. For example for Antibiotics they are 305/370. Are you asking how you can find out what those defaults are?
By observation. After Exodus some of them changed so I tracked prices for a while, now I have a list for the stuff I'm interested in. Sometimes too much player supply can depress the market over an entire Region. Yesterday in Lonetrek for example I noticed that all the NPC Buy offers for Antibiotics were around 335, presumably because several Traders are hauling the stuff.
The skills you need depend on what type of Trading you get into. Myself I have around 40 Buy/Sell orders out there which keeps me busy plus I have the tax reducing skills cos I'm not a dumb Caldari that thinks paying tax is a duty.

A few little tips. First off, if you have problems keeping the money in your wallet to cover buy orders, then don't get the margin trading skill at all. It has saved me quite a bit in fines. Scond, procurement is broken and visibility doesn't do what you think it does.
The skills I think are necessary are the tax reudcing ones (broker relations and accounting) and the order limit ones (trade and retail.) The remote trading skills (procurement, marketing, and day trading) are awsome once you get things up and running, cause you'll never have to leave the house. Unfortunately, with procurement broken, they make an incomplete set.

Could you please explain what you mean by 'broken' and what does visibility do?
Thanks in advance

PLEASE somebody give me an explanation on the market skills including what Visiblity actually does.
A few questions myself:
1. If I dont have ANY market skills and I place a sell order, the entire region will still be able to see it correct?
2. The lowest price for any item is displayed when browsing "groups" in the market correct?
3. Visibility dosent overide another sell order that is cheaper and shows up in "groups" over somebody that is selling the same item with a lower skill correct?
4. WTF does Visibility do
5. WTF does Procurement do
6. Please give me links to good threads that talk about this stuff in detail if possible. If not, lets make this thread one of them or get a sticky about it please.

http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=200967
And another thing.... am I totally blind or DOES EVE NOT HAVE A SEARCH OPTION IN THE FORUMS
Thank you... very well then carry on

Procurement is definately NOT broken
I am going to assume that you are trying to set up the buy order incorrectly, or that you dont understand what its supposed to do.
(I believe I was given a few million for explaining how to use procurement to someone the other day in the help channel)

I'd say that apart from Accounting and Broker Relations, getting your Indy skill up is important, and the skill you need for fitting cargo expanders (hull upgrades ?).
Also Navigation, Evasive Maneuvering and Afterburners. Fully loaded and cargo expanded Indies accelerate and turn like a cow

the tradeskills all have their uses, although they don't always do what the description says.
regarding lack of search, use eve-search.com
