I LOVE THIS GAAAAMEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee. I just fought some pirates. It did 1/3rd the damage, fought a battle 3 times as long as before and ran out of ammo and loved EVERY DAMN SECOND OF IT!!!!
Combat is tactical now. You actually have TIME to activate slots and have eeffects. It's not over in 3 seconds anymore and it's soooo good.
THANKS CCP! ------------------------------------------- If you kill them, they will die!
Sport the war, war support The sport is war, total war When victory's really a massacre. The final swing is not a drill It's how many people I can kill! |

other than the minor issues with market demand now showing, and the highway gates.. i'd say this patch is flawless.
keep up the great work ccp! _____________________________________ Perpetually driven, your end is our beginning. "Can I be a consultant for EVE II?" - WhiteDwarf |

I applaud everything in the change list for 1105. I am even beginning to appreciate the slot reset that appears to have taken place, though it could have done with some warning.
However, whlie the changes are good, a number of them contain fundamental bugs which, using the jettison timer bug as an example, make the game unplayable.
As for the jettison timer bug, before anyone gets all*****y and goes about claiming that I am against the jettison _change_ please note that I am not. In fact, I'm all for the jettison-related _changes_.
The problem is that the jettison-related changes introduced a super-bug that doesn't just have me waiting five minutes to jettison a new can... I simply cannot jettison a can. At all. Ever. Period. I am now stuck mining in my indy, with a single mining laser and no drones because of this bug. And yes, I have filed bug reports. Several of them.
You can make all the factory, market, and combat changes you want, but in an economy fueled by ore... if mining is broken (and it is) then the game is broken and the other changes don't matter.
For those who enjoy the patch as it stands, enjoy it while you can, because without some fast fixes you are going to be able to watch the game mechanics fall down around you as the in-game economy comes grinding to a halt on account of an ore/mineral shortage.

I for one am happy with the patch thus far. My missions make more money, and I got me one of them thar fancy factory slot things. Also, my 150mm scout autocannon magically morphed into a 200mm scout autocannon, and my 135mm scout autocannon turned into a 150mm scout autocannon.
It's a magical world today. :-)

no problems with blueprints, corp member icons, surrender button wont work for surrendering corp, factorys unrenting, blueprints appearing in no particular order in factory list, blueprints taking ages to load into factory list, advanced market not working properly, pirates having weapons that arent nerfed like ours, bad texures, CTD's for many people when in the vicinity of drones, bungee effect STILL in game, Labs eating blueprints and NOT giving them back.
i could go on.
but no.. this patch is flawless, oh yes, and theres no Americans in Baghdad.

Yes this patch is a HUGE step in the right direction. Besides the new bugs that were introduced over all I think we are looking at a new day in EVE.
I am happy after reading the blog with the fix they are implementing. I think though that they should also double the amount of office space for people who did not get one early enough.
As for the hangers. Great job guys. Even though its alot of work to edit each player, now I can completely control who has access to what and not worry about somebody taking things out of the wrong hanger. One little change I'm asking for though is that the role of researcher be added and separate from factory managers. This will allow usage of just the labs and not the factory and vice versa. Its not a big deal I've already worked out a way around the problem but it would be nice to have.
As for combat. I am happy with the new changes. Combat do last alot longer now and not one sided like before. The only problem I have now is with NPC pirates respawn at belts. Right now if 3 cruisers spawn and you do not kill them all before a certain amount of time, they start coming back. If you do kill all of them they won't respawn for a longer period of time. How about evening it out so that the respawn is random and not a constant wave. This will alow mining operations to be actually possible.

I forgot to add - I love the changes you made to the advanced info in the market. Showing best price and closest price, along with the more functional map, is a huge step forward for me.

The NPC pirates were too easy, even without some uber mo0 loadout or whatever.
Now it actually takes a little bit of brains to sack them good.
Good work CCP!

Oh crap (in a good way) were the pirates tougher this morning when I tried them out.
Before patch, no prob to go at 'em in a .4 system with my Slasher, two sm.proj. Scouts and a slightly better Shield than market.
Five wave of two gave me some structural damage. Thought to try a second wave of five without repairing and I actually had to bail out after killing three and damaging the fourth one :)
Ship on fire, stuff sputtering... of the thrill of it all!
(would be nice if the F11 will be fixed soon).

this thread has given me renewed faith in the Eve player base.
Patch good.

Yup overall I am a happier customer after giving the new patch a run-out last night. The people shedding tears for the loss of their uber weapons will just have to think a little harder when in combat- you're all up to that challenge aren't you?
One thing- I'd very much like to see is CCP mixing things up a little from this point in future patches so that we start to see some bug fixes but also some content being introduced...

OMG! So many intelligent posts in one thread, thank you for helping in the neverending war against the forever-*****ing-whiners! The glitches after a patch this big will probably be fixed before long and we now ACTUALLY have a game closer to what I want to play, cheers. Cant wait to play, hehe... Oh, and to you who are scared because your ³ber-projectile isnt what it was, your 219 slots got taken from you, uhm, suck the salty one :D
